Ah well. Suppose I'll keep an eye on it just in case, and if no miracles happen, I'll settle for the retail version.

It was about 10-15 minutes for 'Plex to sell out...
Which is, theoretically, within "half an hour."
I never understand why they would make something like this with such a limited quantity, and without a definitely announced sale time. Seems like a formula for pissing off the fanbase. I mean, I know that they shouldn't make an overly excessive amount where they will be stuck with unsold stock... But for such a high demand item, wouldn't they rather have our money by having us buy a more expensive version direct from them? Now everyone that missed out on this will have to settle for the retail version... Which costs less, and is sold through other people... So less money for Hasbro.
So... I guess... Shut up and take less of my money? Okay... Since I have no choice... If you insist, Hasbro, you can have less of my money.

As for me, I'm happy with my retail Prime Shockwave, I don't need the Titan Guardians, and I'll going for the retail Metroplex.

Very quickly. Within ten to fifteen minutes, I believe.

I'm thinking I'll do the same with this Metro money. It's downright obnoxious that a small elite number of us get this product. If you're going to release tiny quantities, I think you should either make a pre-order list, lottery, or just wait and release more at a time! This awkward release creates negative impressions with your customers, Hasbro. And it puts money in the hands of scalpers. A LOT of money.
I hear a lot about piracy in the music/movie/gaming industry... but when does anyone bring up how much scalping hurts the business?

I'm sure they weren't all scalpers... Perhaps not even most of them. Still, the fact that there are currently over 80 of them on eBay goes to show that many of them were bought by people purely for the purpose of reselling them. (And even if those 80 were bought at SDCC and not online, then those are 80 that could have been put online following the con.) So... yeah. If I was a vindictive person, I'd say I hope all of those scalpers all choke on the money they'll get.
So yeah... Scalpers are even worse then Hasbro's stupidity here... But not by much.
