And thus is the reason I try to steer clear of the movie forum.

"ZOMG complaining is teh stupid, whoever wanted more g1 changes to teh film is also stupid"
It's like, when a huge piece of movie news comes out, the forums turn into X-box live, nothing but little kids and insults being slung.
Look, we have the right to complain about the film. YES Optimus Primal had a mouth, but did you know that 90% of the fandom was in an uproar because of it. The only thing that saved the show, was the talented writers behind it. They knew what the fans wanted, they took into account what the fans looked for in a Transformers show, they didn't just discard it and do what they wanted.
Now, to all the Bay lovers, and Bay haters. I respect Bay, as a director you have a shitload of things to worry about. You have so many ideas you want to do, you have so many things to deal with in a film. Being a director isn't just sitting in a chair and pointing and yelling "action." You deal with the actors, you try to convey your ideas onto them, you have to deal with the camera crew, convey your ideas to them, so many people you have to talk to in order to shoot maybe 1 minute of footage that actually makes it into the film.
Now, that being said. Bay's movies aren't great, I've said this so many times before, if Armageddon had any other actors than the ones it had, it would have sucked. Bruce Willis and the rest of the cast made that movie good.
Bay did take a crapload of liberties in this film. "You win some you lose some" in this case, the fandom lost more than some. The only real battle we won, was Peter Cullen.
Now, Prime with the mouth, he looks terrifying, in that photo of him diving at Witwicky or whatever it is he's doing. He looks scary, if I didn't know any better, I wouldn't know who the hell that Transformer was.
Plus, any 3d animator worth his salt, would have done two versions of Prime, it wouldn't require rendering the entire film, just a couple parts. One with the faceplate and one without.
Now, like I said. We have a right to complain. Complaining about us complaining about Prime's mouth, isn't going to help anything. Let us vent.
So, quit bitching about us bitching about the bitching thats being bitched about over the bitching of Prime's mouth.
