Can iToss my iOpinion into the ring.
I've been team android for a long time and I've also used an iPhone for work for over a year A little AC/DC if you will.
iThink both realms have their place and their users. iProducts are great for people who are not computer literate and just want a solid device that just works. Android is for those more savvy who want to explore the realm of customizations.
Now if you're new to android prepare to have to learn to speak German real quick. Familiarity is a warm cozy place to sleep at night.
iUse my work phone just for work. Phone, text, email and that's it. As a "computer guy" that thing drives me crazy. Just the way it's laid out kinda insults my intelegence. But it's a stable work horse with solid battery life.
When I got my first android phone (coming from a flip phone) it was like when Roddy Piper puts on the glasses for the first time in They Live. A whole new world opened up to me. A truth iNever knew existed. Android has evolved light-years in just the last 5 years since I started.
iHate to say this, but it's getting more and more iLike all the time. That's not a bad thing, it's just getting more user friendly. And ain't nothing wrong with that.
I highly recommend making the switch, just be prepared to be overwhelmed with options. I just recently got a Samsung galaxy S6 and I couldn't be happier. I'd say stick with the "flagship" devices from Google/Motorola, Samsung, LG or HTC.
After six months hit me up and we'll talk about rooting and custom roms. Your iVirgin brain ain't ready for all that yet. There really are many shades of grey.
iHope that helped.
