Obvious Prime wrote:Dude... That's one wicked digibash! I gotta try that! Oh, and here's a list of subs. for Classics GoBots:
Botcon Bugbite = Bugbite
Mirage + Repaint + Headswap = Crasher
Protoform Prime = Pathfinder (Always thought the protoforms had a feminine body shape.)
Target Movie Armourhide + Hot Wheels Trailer = Road Ranger
Movie Dreadwind = Badboy
????? = Treads
????? = Smallfoot
That orange motorcycle guy + Repaint = Cykill
Any other Ideas?

Now if you want updated Machine Robo figures, then you should check out Machine Robo Rescue and its spin off line, Machine Robo Mugenbine. Machine Robo Rescue figures are updated versions of the popular Machine Robo figures from the 80's. Only problem is they are the favorite figures from Japan. In the Machine Robo line, there aren't any Guardians or Renegades, they are fighting together against a common foe.
In this case the popular ones are: Fitor & Screwhead. The Police car looks nothing like Hans Cuff and a bit more like Puzzler component Jigsaw. Neither have the same head. The toyline came in two flavors, the original release where the main figure had four drone figures that transformed from vehicle to robot and all of them combined into a large gestalt figure. All of the limbs/drones are interchangable ala G1's Scramble City combiners.
This interchangability developed into Machine Robo Mugenbine which is like combining gestalts and Legos. The robots without the drones were released early on in this series and are compatible with the Mugenroids (robots in MRM) and their "Bine Parts". You can build all kinds of crazy things with Mugenbine. Here is one I put together last month with four sets that were released earlier this year.
The Machine Robo Rescue figs are a few years old (I think they came out around 2001-2003) and were only released in Japan and Asia. So they may be difficult to find and pretty costly.

Pathfinder is a girl actually, and so is Vamp apparently. Vamp is awsome, I have the small version. What if they did a redeco of Cybertron Megatron for her(though it should be a him in my opinion):
Robot mode's a little iffy though, no claws:
And they need to make a new Raizor, totally awsome alt. mode:

Oh yeah, and this is actually a unintentional homage, if only it was darker blue:
And another:
Flip Top and Dive Dive are two of my favorite GoBots.

EDIT: We should have a Gobot section of the site.

and I too think seibertron.com needs a Go-Bots toy section and forums section, considering Hasbro owns the rights to the protperty and has incorporated it into the transformers franchise through various incarnations...
Give me a good Leader One, and Cy-Kill in Voyager class or Leader, and a cartoon incarnation of them, and I'll be happy.. I can always pretend to have my own battles as well..
Now granted Prime was the king, but I always had a fondness of Leader one as a cool Bot, and those exosuits for transformable robots?? Pricelss!!!! Hasbro should bring the mobile transformable base concept back.. that was one of my favorite all time play bases... I would play with that base for hours with my gobots and never get bored..it was such a cool toy, it reminded me of the At At from Star Wars...the base is pictured in the left corner of this image bellow, it's in command center mode, which is cool...
It really seems to me, that as I'm older and working, the imagination and fun I had as a child is worth more to me now, then it ever was then and certainly alot harder to come by, then money or anything else for that matter...
I love collecting!!! In some ways I feel that Imagination and fun as a child in seeing and posing my bots, it's what brings a hint of goodness back to our lives.. outside of work, family, people, any thing that we deal with day to day... it's the simplist of pleasures, a basic fun that reminds us of our childhood, and good times with imagination and hope in our hearts..a simple feeling that is derived from positioning a transformer in a cool position, or transforming one, and hearing that theme song in your head, or opening a new MISB for the first time.. it's all priceless and worth it..Transformers and collecting in general.. it's agreat stress reliever, and food for your soul..![]()
Sigh..... Memories!!

Hmm, a GoBot forum, I would support that.
Agreed on imagination. I remember back in the day when I would play for hours as well. Not usually Transformers, G.I. Joe/Star Wars/Super Heroes, but hey, that's probably the reason why I collect Transformers now.
And I see the yellow tank center Grungy powersuit combiner thingy. I wonder if that ever came out? I read I think on toyarchive.com that it's honestly unknown about some of those older figures cause it's been proven that some came out years after the fact.
And the command center rocks all sorts of awsomeness. I do remember playing with that thing a lot, and I still have most of it. It was cool how the piece of red plastic in the door was also one of those decoder type deals. And I think I even used it as an "AT-AT" on a couple of occasions. Power to the versitility of a child's imagination!

I couldn't pass on it, could I...(Tigertracks = yellow version of Sideswipe a countach of course).

Ah, Pocket(ok, Gobots had some bad names). I have him, and half of Puzzler. I should complete him someday. That is one thing that's good about Puzzler from the looks of it, there are no extra parts, they're all built in. And the face just screams Sunstreaker:
