Special Edititon Transformers DOTM Blu-ray with Transforming Megatron Case Listed on Amazon Germany

Amazon Germany has listed a pre-order for a special edition Transformers Dark of the Moon Blu-ray two disc set that comes in a transforming Megatron case. The special edition is priced at 31,99 Eur and scheduled to release on November 10th. If you visit the product page they have video showing of the transforming case. Still no word on what kind of exclusives and special editions we can expect domestically.

I knew there would be another transforming case, its almost as bad a gimmick as a steelbook case. At least with the steelbooks, they actually look good and aren't as bulky. If they do this for the US, I hope they choose a different character for the subsequent repackaging with another transforming case. A Soundwave one would be good since there already are (if memory serves) 1 Prime, 1 Bumblebee, and with this announcement, 2 Megatrons.

If it were tanker truck megs, I wouldn't mind so much.
Hey, you know what would be cool? if hasbro actually put all their Plastic focus on the upcoming toys! or at least include a unique mechtach weapon with the DVD case.

Ah, I'm lucky to not have any of the transforming cases, so I didn't know it was the same. And your idea of a new Mechtech weapon is a good GREAT idea. Another fun one would be more of the Robot Heroes like what Best Buy did with the first movie. I love those little guys...

I love character dvd cases Tf wise ive only got BB but i also got the watchmen, Terminator and hellboy(animated & movie figures) but i dont open them i buy a second normal copy to watch, this one is very welcome.

So, it is Megatron. Not a surprise to me.
Assuming this will be a Target exclusive again since the previous two were. I will certainly pick it up since I got the previous two. My son was actually "really" playing with the case and he broke Prime's case a little bit. They are now as high as possible so he cannot reach it.

Even though the "transforming" DVD case is kind of stupid IMO, at least they have movie 1 Megs on it. Most people seem to hate his design, but he has become my favorite transformer.

in all honest opinion this could be fake,i remember a transforming megatron released for the first film(found just about anywhere) after the fact target had their exclusive,same transforming case as this one(megatron),and why the missing sub title,transformers 3?looks like photo shop.and besides why even this design of megatron,he clearly does not resemble this form anymore.but if im wrong what a lame edition.pass.

Well, BD is the new format meant to replace DVDs, so it makes sense to have all the special versions be BD.
