Hmm, playing technician for a little bit longer based on what I've learned of the game so far, taking in the fact that there are many, many more alts in there now than before the crash, and the fact that there are now four factions (five, if the Quints made it over as a non-playable faction.), I think it took the game longer to calculate and calibrate the numbers and what alts to put where. In other words, more data and numbers to crunch, plus a slightly old server, plus a lot of people playing the game while it's trying to do what it needs to, equals longer time for the rotator to work. That's my theory anyways. OS probably has a much better one.

I don't think there are a lot more alts now then there were before the crash like two weeks ago. I think it has more to do with the fact that, the last I remember anyway, the beast factions alts were being drawn from the autobots/decepticon alts

It might be something else then, but I'm pretty sure one of the HMW mods said that there were more alts... Eh, I don't feel like debating right now, I'll let OS, Mkall, or another HMW mod settle this. Either way, it has to be new additions of one kind or another, plus a lot of people playing the game and visiting the site as a whole, that slowed the rotator down. Just have to see what OS or one of the HMW mods say.

oh there are more alts, prior to the reset there were ~300 alts in the game, now there are ~1000

Talk about bad timing, should of read thread first before reconfiguring Starcomet. Maximals got no jet like alts currently. Guess condor will do for now.

Edit: Ok notice a starfighter alt but not caring for it.

I prefer the faster rotation of once a week regardless of how many players are actually playing. Sometimes I like to change my bots up and try different things and being restricted to once every two weeks is trying on my patience.

Blackstreak, you really oughta read the thread a bit more thourghly before comenting.

Not only has the 1 week rotation been offcially adopted, but we are currently in a 3 day rotation period until all the possible iterations have been run through once, to give everybody a chance to get their prefered alts back (where possible, as a Pred, Im still screwed for a lot of my charecters, but c'est la vie).

What REALLY needs to happen is that the cons need some of our alts back from the Autobots! They have Soundwave for sure and we don't. There are others I have seen that they have that we don't also.

I'll start making a list as I see them... I know there was a huge data loss, but, can't they simply be copied over into the Con rotation?

alot of them are because we won them in the 2006 xmas tournie, thats how we got Flak and CD redalert.

With all the repaints of molds over the years, there's really very few alt modes that are specific to any faction. Especially with the Gen 1 alts. CD Red Alert was repainted for Onslaught in the Universe 2.0 Legends class toys.

Name one repaint of Shockwave, Megatron, or Soundwave into an Autobot or Maximal character. That's what they mean when Decepticon alts are in the Autobot's lists and not theirs.

Soundwave's easy. Cybertron Soundwave into Universe Blaster. However, my point wasn't that the Con's shouldn't have them back. My point was that there's very few alts that haven't been repainted into another faction. Those three, Gen 1 versions at the very least, are part of the few that didn't. At least as far as I know. Which leads to the other part of my point... a majority of the alt modes should not be exclusive.

When people start saying that one faction shouldn't have a alt mode when they never had it in the series, then ya start getting other people who go "What about the star wars, zoids, toasters and stewie alts? Why are they here then when they never appeared in any of the transformers fiction" and we have a game with far less alt modes again. Like it was in the bad old days.

I'm also aware of the star wars transformers toyline, but it's A: a cross over, just like Marvel (and I don't see no Ironman alt...

) and not a offical part of either canon, and B: Not part of anything featuring any kind of plot or story. It's just there to make money for both franchises.
