It is a good theory. Starscream was always known to betray the Megaton, erm, Megatron. It would be a good scenario for the sequel.

Remember it was groups of humans vs just ONE Decepticon. Scorponok is a low-ranking, mindless, single Decepticon, and he took on an entire battalion of human soldiers.

If there were twenty Scorponoks to fight the twenty armymen, the humans'd be screwed.

Basically it actually wasn't a fair fight. Put a human one-on-one with a Decepticon and they don't stand a chance. Even with heavy weapons like gunships or tanks.

I like the 'Starscream bombed Megatron' theory, mainly because it's so... uh... It's so like him to do that sort of thing.

If Starscream did bomb Megatron them Michael Bay takes the crown as worst director ever as it was not alluded to in any way whatsoever. More than likely this is just a fan-wank theory that if you bang on about it long and loud enough Mickey B will steal and claim it was his idea all along.
