Which brings it to 55$US, which is almost 10$ more expensive than its current going rate at its main distributer Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Plat ... s+platinum
In canadian dollars, that shipped chmungmung price comes out to 72.50$, which is exactly what it is currently going for on amazon.ca: http://www.amazon.ca/TRANSFORMERS-Plati ... s+platinum
-Kanrabat- wrote:Not too shabby, but Chimungmung's shipping may be lower for Europe, Australia, or Asia. Meaning a much better deal for them.

From my experience, Amazon seems to have some sort of algorithm where they are very in tune with the demand. I believe their Thundercracker stock to be finite (just a hunch) and thus it was only down in price since few people were buying. Now that the excess stock is sold, I doubt it will go back down below 30$. I am waiting or those to be 30$ in canada. Jetfire was 30$ last year but none of the leaders have gone that low yet for us.

Cobotron's advice is great, but I have a counter: What you can buy today might be more expensive tomorrow. People have spent a lot of money catching up on TFs. Even for things you wouldnt think about like AOE Scorn.
Ask Kanrabat about that special edition Cybertron Primus he bought.
PS: I have a graduate degree and still cant afford all the TFs I want.

Dang, $30 for a Scorn. wow. I really want a classics Rodimus cause that is such a good looking Rodimus and I want a proper sized one yet they are so expensive and I just can't justify buying it. But yeah, I'll get TC soon. Really want him.
And: Kanrabat how much did you spend on a Primus and how much did Confucius buy metroplex for?

Cant wait for those answers. I too want rodimus but there is no way I am paying what they are asking for. Cobotron knows, I have a system for getting the most of my collecion with minimal regret and money. If there is something you really want (in my case it would be the TAV Grimlock), don't hesitate. But if there is something you dont really care for (in my case it woud be Armada megatron), I can wait for a discount. Like that I never pay the price I dont deem it to be worth and if ever it never goes on sale or I miss it, no worries, I didnt care that mch for it in the end. BUT if there is a toy you really want, dont wait. He might go down in price a bit more later but in the log run ( at most 2 years), the toy will cost more to buy mint than whatever you bought it for.
And there is something else we are ignoring here, the sooner you get a toy, the sooner you get to play with it and pose it on your shelf. That's an added value that has no monetary equivalent and it can be worth the extra 5$ or so spent to have him sooner rather than later. That is thebiggest factor with me getting Shockwave next year rather than waiting for a Hasbro version. There are some things money cant buy.
