I think we won't see any SS86 till mid-year, and even then, RotB will be a good chunk of SS this year, so (thankfully) SS-86 should be a minimum this year.

Don't forget WfC is supposedly coming as well, so unless it's an exclusive line, that'll take up slots as well.

We don't know the wave breakdown perfectly and it's been proven to change anyways.

But here is the full list of all SS releases in 2023 https://www.seibertron.com/transformers ... 023/47361/

Basically the counterparts to the SS 86 Ratchet and Ironhide we got in 2022 plus Snarl, Brawn and Frenzy. The only ss86 Buzzworthy release we know is Hound.

Damn, and here i paid full price for my Coronation SS. :-( :BANG_HEAD:

The $52 price tag is for Coronation SS, the $25 price tags are likely for Velocitron Voyagers.

I thought there was also a 2-pk for SS86 being released in the Buzzworthy line.

Unknown right now…
But assuming Buzzworthy is always going to include repaints (possibly slight retools), and it’s obvsly at least loosely movie-related…
Also keep in mind there’s a chance the price may be lower than what the included figures would cost separately (similar to the Creatures Collide set)…

I would love it if it were Sunstreaker & Hound, but I think Hound will have his own release.
I have a feeling it may be Skywarp & Thundercracker.
With the Coneheads getting re-releases soon, this would be a way to get these guys out there again without using two voyager slots for yet another two seekers in the mainline.
I would like it to be something else, but there don’t seem to be a lot of good options.
Could it be Prime and Hot Rod?

If it was Prime and hit rod, what molds would they use? We already got SS86 Hot Rod. You colors Hot Rod will be his own release, right? I mean it would make sense if he was released in Buzzworthy with someone. Maybe Prowl? His ER mold was an exclusive.

If we're talking SS86 2-packs, especially voyagers, I would love a Prime and Megatron set. Since gun Megatron is never happening, next best thing would be a rerelease of both their ER versions. But I doubt they'll do Prime without the trailer.

Who knows…
I think a Prime & Hot Rod set could include both a battle-damaged Prime, and a magenta Hot Rod.
I do think they’d consider an Optimus sans trailer… It wasn’t a huge part of the movie.

I also wonder if Hastak would like to get a little more from the SS86 Cliffjumper…
It could be as simple as a Cliff and Jazz set.

And I just had the thought, what if it is a Quintesson and Allicon?
Both were part of the ER distribution debacle…
Hastak wouldn’t have to do any sort of changes with those.
I know some people were able to get those, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a ton.
With current prices, a voyager and deluxe for $55 seems like a deal.
Although I never thought the Quintesson was worth voyager cost, this would be a good move for Hastak.

It's not on the list because it isn't an actual mainline SS release, it's within the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line and we don't know anything about it at the moment.

What are the chances we will see a cleaned up version of Siege Springer in SS86?

Would it be considered cheating if Hasbro took CW Devastator and repackaged him in a SS86 box and sold him as the 1st SS86 titan? Or would the figures need to be modified somehow?

I'd say very much nil since the Amazon Wreck 'n' Rule version was apparently Hasbro's attempt at giving us a cleaned up version of the Siege Springer mold, just with extra steps taken to give us something more than just a cleaned up version.

That seems equally unlikely since CW Devastator got reissued online back in 2021.

But his deco is different. He got gray legs. Doesn't that qualify him as a different release? What I mean is, does Hasbro expect the fans to look at that one and accept it as close enough to SS86 accuracy?

Yeah I totally blanked on that. Oh well, it was an intriguing thought. I bet a box for SS86 Devastator would have some neat art.

From Hasbro's perspective, they probably see it like this: They've given us both Siege Springer and Legacy Wreckers Springer as two unique options for those who want a new Springer. They gave Siege Springer a show-accuate deco, but also battle damage. They liked that, but not all of us did. So instead of just cleaning up the Siege toy like they did for Kingdom to Legacy Galvatron, they probably felt it would be more special to not just clean up the battle damage but to give Legacy Wreckers Springer a whole different deco entirely (even if it's not a show-accurate one, since they already did that for Siege Springer). Thus, they aren't letting us have our cake and eat it too, just like the big corporation that they are.

In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if Legacy Wreckers Springer happened at all because of his new deco, as if simply cleaning up the battle damage wasn't enough to pass corporate approval.

Rodimus Prime wrote:I bet a box for SS86 Devastator would have some neat art.
If not just a reuse of the existing CW art (even the UW version used the same box art, just slightly colored).

A new SS86 Devastator is really the only thing that would keep me in the collecting game next year.
But even then, I'm betting it would be a Titan release rather than 6 individual figures spread-out over a couple years.
With the complexity and engineering required, I could see a new version being smaller than the CW release.
Although then it would be more in scale with previous combiners, as well as titans such as Metroplex.

I've also had a thought that the next Haslab Project could be a truly MP-scaled Devastator with incredibly well-done individual figures.
But that's talk for a different thread.

They would have thought he wasn't going to sell if they just cleaned him up and sold him in a different line? I mean, I would think a 3rd version would mean more money since it provides yet another option for some fans (like myself) and it's just a simple paint app modification. No new parts or anything. It would be a low cost operation for Hasbro. Especially since if I recall correctly Siege Springer wasn't that easy to find, since there were so many more popular characters in the WFC voyager class. Personally I only ever saw him once at Wal-Mart, and I managed to snag him only because I worked there and happened to see him right after he was put on the shelf.

It'd also be a more fitting color scheme than the CW version.

Though I think we're more likely to get a Core set of Constructicons.

As long as they were done well, I would love a set of Core Constructicons...
For me that would make it worth re-arranging my displays so I could create a cool diorama for them and my other Core Decepticons.

I snagged Rumble from my Target yesterday.
I’m not sure why but the Core class figures were $8.49, and this wasn’t a sale price.
It was also the only one there.
With just a little help from the ‘ol Red Card, he was $8.77 with tax, which for me was way easier to justify than $12+.
Now, I’m still completely on the fence about keeping him…
I knew he was a small figure, but I never got any Siege cassettes…
This Rumble is tiny.
I have two of the MP version. Which just looks better, has more articulation, and scales better with the mainline figures…

Finally seeing something new, with the lower price, & my love for this subline all got me at once.
I’ll hold on to him for a while, but I’m thinking once I’m hunting for Shrapnel, this tiny dude is getting returned.

Though he's the same size in casstte mode, he's actually taller than the Siege cassettes in robot mode:

Interestingly, this Rumble was made by the same TakaraTomy designer who made the MP.
