Now, I don’t think this version looks bad…
For what it is, he’s decent looking for sure. Especially compared to the Siege figure.
Articulated elbows and pile drivers would’ve made this a complete win for me.
And who knows… There’s a small chance I may keep him.

I still have to find the damn thing in store or even online.

Thanks but he's not a priority. Beside, the Siege one that came from the Select 4 pack (That I paid a freaking fortune for) do the job aplenty.

Buzzsaw/Laserbeak shouldn't be that difficult to achieve either.
I'll be more interested in how they handle Ravage, to date I've not ever seen one I liked because the cassette is ever so present in Panther mode and always looks to skinny and squared off. Now I don't expect them to get him to look exactly like he does in the cartoon, closer than the previous attempt would be an improvement. Same with Steeljaw and Ramhorn for Blaster.

To get a rounded body and a cassette alt mode that could still fit in Soundwave they would basically have to make him completely out of flat thin panels that could have a slight curve on one side for the torso. Basically something you could lay flat like a jaguar-skin rug then fold up inside-out into a cassette. Not sure it would even be possible with how small some of the parts would have to be and the parts count might even push things past core and into deluxe with random accessories thrown in.
I agree with them needing to focus on the jaguar proportions for the next go. I think they need to go back to the center of the torso being the center of the cassette like G1, but with the legs being the full width of the cassette instead of halfsies and flip out to the sides of the torso. Head could flip forward similar to G1.

The cassette is the same size as the G1 and the MP. So it's very interesting to see the 3 jaguars side-by-side.
Also, am I the only one to like the Ravages from FOC, TR, and Siege?

It was basically Transformers's attempt to cash in on the Bakugan craze of the time.-Kanrabat- wrote:Emerje wrote:

The idea was neat. To have the "cassette" eject from Soundwave/Blaster's chest and having the minion auto-transform as it crash on the ground.
But, eh, we all know how the execution went.

M. Spector wrote:I REALLY like Generations Ravage, getting him with Hound as a kid was a real treat and I think he holds up well in regards to making a proportional yet cool looking robot panther/jaguar
Also have Siege Laserbeak in my collection, and between the pair of him and Siege Ravage, LB wins hands downusually leave poor Rav in cassette mode. If they do an 86 Frenzy and he gets different accessories, like the little back blasters with something else I'd probably pick him up. OR another go at Ratbat since that never showed up in my area during the WFC reign

Nothing has been said about SS86 Soundwave, still all rumour at this junction
