I'm personally predicting Dead Prowl comes with Heroic Nonsense Ironhide, since according to leaker commentary the SS86 Ironhide mold has had battle damaged alternate parts since day 1.

AH, cool on both counts. So who is 18?

If I had to guess, we've got 3 figures here and 3 numbers, so 18 is Hound and 20 & 21 are the dead guys in the 2-pack. The only weird thing about this is that Hasbro has been inconsistent with how they give numbers to members of multipacks, as across the WFC trilogy and SS we had multipacks that gave individual numbers for each figure (the Siege Rainmakers, the Buzzworthy rerelease 2-packs, etc.) alongside multipacks that just used a single number for the whole set (the Siege Amazon sets, the SS Devastator set, etc.), so there's the potential that there's a mystery figure we don't know about yet, and we won't know for certain until we see the box for that 2-pack.

That Springer is more of people's wishful thinking than anything confirmed.

There's a lot they can do in this line.

Kranix and Arblus. The opening scene of the movie when Unicron comsumes Lithone is iconic. It blew my mind as a little kid and watching the Lithones flee in terror as their world is crumbling all around them is something that has always stuck with me. Kranix and Arblus have cool designs and were given altmodes in their universe profiles in the Marvel comic. As I recall, in the comic adaptation of the movie, Kranix escapes in his altmode rather than a shuttle. This would be cool to have as a toy.

New Constructicons. We got new molds for the Stunticons, now let's get the Constructicons. These could get released two to a wave throughout the year. The Constructicons are popular and would definitely be big sellers.

Steeljaw and Ramhorn for Blaster.

Windcharger.

Cyclonus's Armada (multi-pack in the newer molds).

Proper releases of the Quintesson Prosecutor and Baliff. Would be especially popular with those of us that couldn't get the Pit of Judgement set from Earthrise. While we're at it, re-releases of the Judge and Allicon would be nice. I never saw these in store anywhere except for when I got lucky finding an Allicon at Walgreens of all places almost a year after Earthrise was off the shelf.

Just some ideas.

I will be surprised if the 2-pack ends up having 2 “dead” characters.
I know the Buzzworthy line is an exclusive line, but imo that seems more appropriate as an even more limited exclusive.
I personally don’t like the idea because it’s so limiting.

A couple thoughts/ideas I’m still having are:

Skywarp and Thundercracker.
Similar to how Coronation Starscream only had alrticulated hands and slightly altered colors,
Hastak could repaint that same mold for this two pack.
It wouldn’t be the first or second time they felt this was a good call for an exclusive 2 pack.
And with following suit with the Buzzworthy pattern of repaints, it also frees up voyager slots in the mainline, especially since we’re getting Dirge, Ramjet, and most likely Thrust.
I know the leaked price is $55.
But multi-packs in Buzzworthy usually are cheaper.
I won’t be shocked if this is the case with these two seekers,
that they are straight repaints of the ER seeker mold without articulated hands;
The Coneheads in LE are straight repaints…
Maybe Hastak feels that feature should be exclusive to that leader release of SS.

My other thought was a Prime and Hot Rod 2 pack…
With a magenta Hot Rod, and possibly a damaged (but not dead) Prime.

Seems my other thought of a Sunstreaker and Hound 2 pack is off since it’s believed Hound has been assigned a single release number.

I know it’s possible, but I will be surprised if this 2 pack is “death themed”.
And especially if it included another Ironhide??

Either way I’m very anxious to know what this is.

While I might differ on some of the contours of your post, I definitely agree that ANOTHER Ironhide would be...difficult to accept.

Brawn seems even more like a regular, Legacy release with this box art;

That comment was more about the box art.

But the image below looks really close to how he looked in the movie and on the show…
So my earlier comments about proportions definitely still stand.

And my critique isn’t filled with annoyance, let alone “hate”.
Just being objective based on what I see.

Careful. Artwork like that one has been floating around the Internet for years, and they've led to many many miscolorations since they were fan colorings.

Here's what Brawn's cartoon model really looked like:

Steeljaw and Ramhorn are definite wants for Basater, as well as Laserbeak for Soundwave. I'm not too sure Buzzworthy is the right avenue for "dead" bots. lol That said, I don't know that even I want dead versions of two characters. Maybe a proper Prowl and then one with battle damage if indeed a 2-pk. But I too think a third 86 Movie Ironhide in such a short span is overkill. Surely there is another dead bot that could be used. Not that I want it.

I also see a reissue for Thrust as needed but not for Skywarp and Thundercracker, they were just out in 2020 and available for quite some time online. I mean I suppose they could reissue just about any of them, but I think Hasbro should limit it to the rarer bots/past Exclusives.

Most characters that appeared in TF:TM should have a toy representative. A lot of them are due for either an update or their first official figure.

I don't think either Unicron or the Constructicons will be getting any attention soon. While I thought Titan Devastator was too large for proper scale at 1st, I do think he is properly scaled for the movie. So if anything, we might get him reissued in SS86 packaging as a Titan for the line.

And Unicron got the HasLab treatment so he's off limits for at least a decade. We might get a retool for RoTB, but that's it.

If we're going to get Prowl I hope they use the Cyberverse deluxe and give option parts to look dead. The Earthrise mold just doesn't "Feel" good enough.

I expect a new mold like we got with Ironhide. Siege/Earthrise and Cyberverse have very similar engineering, so a new one will probably have a lot in common with those.

If it is a redeco, the Cyberverse figure wouldn't work well at all. It doesn't have a good likeness and frankly isn't up to Generations standards. It's a good toy for what it is, and it might be a better Prowl than Earthrise for some collections, but it is not a better G1 toon Prowl at all.

Looks like the designers prioritized getting the gators on Mirage's arms rather than the sides of the car which I think was a mistake. Also think it was a real miss not applying the numbers on his chest to the front of the car, ideally the two should be exactly the same designs. That aside, they did a good job matching the colors between the figure and the original art, the only thing they didn't get right is the feet and fists (the arms are pointed, just hard to tell from the angle). Even the weapons are the right colors. And I'm going to say painting his face was the right move.

Agreed, Cyberverse wouldn't work for a G1 Prowl at all! And IMO it looks and feels "cheap" like a kids toy line rather than for a collector. That said, it's not bad look for the character if it were anything other than G1 release.

Now I'd like a new mold like they did with Ironhide, to possibly sculpt it to look more like a proper 280Z and the Masterpiece figure. Since they're now being hailed at mini masterpiece figures. And as much as I like the look of ER over Siege figure, it is still lacking. And maybe this time around don't tool the windows with clear plastic.

The one downfall of a new mold for Prowl is the inevitable repaints in order to justify the tooling expense versus just a reissue or slight retool of ER figure. I mean maybe Bluestreak, Smokescreen could use another more accurate release, but can the market handle them so soon after ER/Siege?

Sunbow Brawn also has the challenge of at least half of his car mode basically just disappearing when he goes to robot mode (his arms and legs are somehow all completely kibble-free), though, so I'm pretty sure the reason the figure looks off compared to that image is just that the figure had to find somewhere for the wheels & entire sides of the car to actually go.

According to that same person who provided the product code and alleges to have or at least have seen the figure (and another guy who seems to be backing them up but also has a way sketchier track record), it's the ER mold with a screaming face and the chest is retooled to have molded blast-effect-compatible battle damage.

Will we get Dead Wheeljack and Dead Windcharger just from that 1 shot of them laying next to each other?

If memory serves, I think some "dead" characters reappeared through the movie as if nothing happened. At the very least as background characters. :-?

Will we get Dead Wheeljack and Dead Windcharger just from that 1 shot of them laying next to each other?

Wheeljack is not dead! He's just sleeping! (That's for the old guys who've been here a while.)

If memory serves, I think some "dead" characters reappeared through the movie as if nothing happened. At the very least as background characters. :-?
Only on the Decepticon side, though.

...well unless the person who has provided the product code for Dying Prowl (and is know to get figures early) is just straight-up lying, the fact that Dying Prowl is half of this 2-pack is all but confirmed, so it's gonna be none of these ideas.

So my earlier comments about proportions definitely still stand.

And my critique isn’t filled with annoyance, let alone “hate”.
Just being objective based on what I see.

This is the first that I've heard that any "dead/dying" versions are "all but confirmed".
Whether this is incorrect rumor or not, the ideas I had aren't exactly off the charts.
And sure, the "Dead 2 pack" could obviously happen. I never ever denied that, because again, I had never even heard that rumor.
A "dead" OP has already happened, so Hastak is most likely willing to do that with other characters.
Outside of all of this, I still think it's a pretty myopic idea.

With Brawn, I already said the off appearance of the legs and feet were probably due to transformation.
