Because that Grimlock accessory just won't cut it.

Yes, Core SS86 Wheelie was on the list of leaks from September.

Yeah, Grimlock's scaling prop does not a full Wheelie make. I'm glad I got Titans Return Wheelie when I did.-Kanrabat- wrote:Any chances of a SS86 Core Wheelie?

Nice! Although I'm somewhat surprised you want for that version.Wolfman Jake wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Yeah, Grimlock's scaling prop does not a full Wheelie make. I'm glad I got Titans Return Wheelie when I did.-Kanrabat- wrote:Any chances of a SS86 Core Wheelie?

The TR Wheelie is still a very decent representation of the character. I've got the Legends version with the clear windshield.

It was a dumb joke based on ambiguous understanding of your reasons for liking BBB Cliffjumper more than ER. Never mind.Wolfman Jake wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Nice! Why is that? I usually lean heavily towards G1 cartoon accuracy, and the LG release by Takara is much more faithful to the Sunbow color model than Hasbro's TR release.
SS86 and Buzzworthy are both overspill lines under the CHUG umbrella, so I see no point in getting too fussed about the distinction. Regarding the four you mentioned: Kingdom or SS86, they're TFTM anniversary figures and no mistake. As for redecoes... I can see Cyclonus getting a toy-colors redeco under the Buzzworthy subline. Galvatron and Magnus? Maybe... but doubtful. Rodimus? Hell no. Not only is the metallic face the only thing that would maybe require it, he's too big.o.supreme wrote:So, I understand the explanation of why some characters that seemingly should have been in one line, were released in others, and vice versa.
However, do you as fans, and as collectors consider Kingdom Cyclonus, Galvatron, Ultra Magnus, and Rodimus Prime as "SS86" in spirit, or do you expect to see them slightly redecoed/repainted in the SS86 line proper, or Buzzworthy with SS86 designations (ala Kup and ER Cliffjumper).
1. Considering that Optimus wasn't a movie-introduced character to begin with, classifying anything besides the postmortem-gray redeco as a TF:TM version is silly.o.supreme wrote:What About ER/K Leader Optimus Prime? Is that your "definitive" TF:TM version, or do you expect SS86 to make one even more accurate?

I don't feel SS86 to be the end all G1 cartoon line. Instead, I find SS86 to just be on of the places Hasbro continues what they started with Siege Springer and continued with the Earthrise Datsuns and Seekers.
These G1 character releases fit under one umbrella for me. I do not think we will get a slight redeco of Magnus in the SS86 line, nor a redeco of Galvatron or Rodimus Prime or Blaster.

We don't know that for sure. The same set of stock images we saw Galvatron in also showed BB Cliffjumper with clear windows and we know for a fact he'll be released with painted windows. We won't know if Galvatron is "clean" until someone has him in hand. It makes sense for a WFC figure to be more cartoon accurate in the BB line where it's being given a SS number. But going from Kingdom to Legacy, what's the point, why go to the effort?
