That's why I don't for a second believe any of these Youtubers with TFs before anyone else, are officially condoned or supported by Hastak.

Now I wish this discussion won't happen every single times an early review is published.
Nope. Identical to Scourge.ZeroWolf wrote:Now back on topic, with regards to the Sweeps was there any difference between them and Scourge in the cartoons? Errors or otherwise?

Edit... Nevermind, they were universe repaints...I thought they were original reissues for some reason. Oh well

When Wreck-Gar is dancing with Hot Rod in the movie, they are the same size. This figure is a bit too big. It's bigger than Springer too.
But that won't stop me from getting him.
I think it's a very easy decision. Screen accuracy is the goal here, regardless of how it's achieved. Fans who complain that it's lazy can stick it up their tailpipes.o.supreme wrote:Unfortunately I see this as a no win situation for Hasbro. In TF:TM, and the Animated Series The Sweeps were identical to Scourge in every physical way (as others have stated). The Actor (Stan Jones), might vary his performance a little to give them different voices, or occasionally perhaps a different actor was used (Did he Influence Dee Bradley Baker and all his Star wars Clones voices) If you make a straight up Scourge toy, and just change the packaging to "Sweep", this would be screen accurate, however you get fans declaring this as the laziest thing ever, since there was no change. However, if you DO change something (coloration, face sculpt etc...), Then it is no longer Screen accurate.
Unlike the Junkions that have many variants, I honestly feel sorry for Hasbro on this one, I don't know how they are going to pull it off.

And they could just buy multiple Scourges to achieve they animation accuracy.
I think the Sweeps should be different, maybe they could have more whites similar to the Generations Scourge? Maybe some energon whips cast in rubbery plastic instead of the blast effect?

Man that would have been an incredible pack!
And @Aronjlove, in the platinum 3 pack, the sweep was a new head that has no facial hair.
