I'm sure someone knows or has calculated it out, but does the SS list cover 3/4 of the year? Or this that for the whole year?

I now have 86 Jazz and I don't really see how he is great. Maybe I am misremembering feedback on this guy but I know it was well liked. And with my recent purchase of Kingdom Tracks, I don't see how one is so much better than the other. Their flaws are both similar with that clear plastic roof that is very tight when going from car to bot and both have issues with their legs. With Jazz, those small pegs for knees always come off when I use his hip swivel. At least Tracks has an ambitious new leg transformation (granted, it adds nothing overall).
But hey, both look good in both modes (aside from those feet sticking out the back for Jazz).

I like Jazz, but I think he's just an okay figure and nothing that special. While I'm glad we finally have a show-accurate door-less Jazz, he's definitely not as cool as the Reveal the Shield mold (minus that mold's chest hood never securing into place).

Sorry to break it to you, but Legacy has been revealed, no Swoop or Snarl mentioned for main retail and I think they would be unlikely as exclusives.

I wonder if the toy for Mirage from the new movie will be just a minor retool of this Jazz.

True. But in my opinion doubtful. I'm sure he'll get a new head, but maybe they will make his robot mode totally different than Jazz just because his alt mode is practically the same. And since this is technically supposed to be a prequel, I don't see why he can't be Jazz.

I'm guessing someone just wanted to use the name Mirage and then picked the car mode because it looked cool.

Yeah I agree, he looks really good. Ok, glad to know the concensus here is that he's simply ok but looks good, which is the same here.

And I too am sad that we don't know how Swoop and Snarl are being released. Sounds like we'll have to wait an extra year. But hey, if that's because our feedback is that Swoop should be a leader rather than a voyager and it pans out that way, then I will be ok with the wait.

Actually I can see them doing a simple new head redeco of SS86 Jazz for the separate movie toyline (similar to the energon igniters for the Bumblebee movie) that weren't really accurate to the film. Then come back a year later and do a proper new mold in SS that is accurate to the film (if SS86 allows enough room for non TFTM movie bots).

Definitely agree... I really can understand why some would be okay with Swoop being a voyager...
But I'm telling you, for every person who would be like, "Okay, oh well, I'm cool with that", I think there will be exponentially more like us that would be disappointed... Here they've done so well with the first two (I assume both Sludge & Snarl will be on point & follow suit), it would be a real shame if Swoop doesn't deliver.
I promise this is the last time I'll say it-- if Swoop's head (not including the peak of the dino head) makes him roughly the same height as Siege/ER OP and Megatron, that's going to look wack.
Because from there, to look at all accurate and have decent overall proportions, his torso, arms and legs would all have to be smaller, not just shorter.
And that's going to make him look like a gross mistake compared to the other 4.
Fingers crossed they're both worth the wait... Man, with getting 2 already, waiting another year, almost a year and a half for the 5th, seems a bit excessive.

Well, that's disappointing!! I couldn't bite on that Amazon 2 pack. And I don't see picking up a core class figure.
If anything, I may be going back for Megs, SS, Soundwave, and getting Skywarp.

But this Ratchet will be worthless to me. Which makes it almost worse that he's in the SS86 line.

I don't follow, how would it be worse being in SS86 versus Legacy? For core class, the only difference would be the packaging itself.
