They're fricking fantastic, so I'm not shocked. Good man!instead of just enjoying a great figure. So as soon as I spot Slag in store again, he's coming home.
Any ideas or guesses on who or what is supposed to be included with Sludge next year?
Yeah I guess they're the same body type. Slap a longer neck and tail on Slag, with a new head, and you have Sludge, in dino mode at least. Slag's transformation is pretty neat, so I don't think they would mess with it much, except maybe to accommodate the long neck somehow. And I agree that Sludge's bulk should be enough to justify the price point, we don't need any more "minifigures," as if we can call those pieces of plastic actual figures.Emerje wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Yeah I guess I got too caught up in what I think their scale should besol magnus wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:I changed my mind on SS86 Slag and now I want them all.

Probably nothing, Sludge's dino mode should be more than enough to fill out the price point. Maybe they can do something cool with neck articulation so it can tuck inside his body (though sometimes it's shown hanging off his back). Real question is will Sludge just be a heavy retool of Slug?

It happened only once in PotP, that's no guarantee that'll be norm for every other new version.
Yes, I can see they have similar designs with the wings and dino legs, but with Sludge's torso making a 180 degree turn coupled with SS Slag/Slug's leg transformation, I don't see it happening.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Sludge is a heavy re-tool of Slag, but I’m betting he’s going to be different enough to call him a new mold.
I have a feeling that Sludge’s wings will be larger to help make his dino mode a bit larger.
Which I know doesn’t mean it can’t be a retool…
Hastak has my confidence with these SS86 figures, but I hope they’ve designed Sludge’s dino mode to have a relatively long neck, and tail (much, much longer than Slag’s).
It's not trying to be G1 Slag, it's trying to be Cyberverse Slug. It looks like the character it's supposed to look like.Sowndwave76 wrote:All due respect, but imo that Cyberverse version is worse in every way.
It may not be a bad figure for what it is, but I’m terms of appearance, it’s not even close.

Five Faces of Darkness was infamously notorious for miscoloring crowd shots. Even some Autobots were put on Chaar and some Decepticons at Autobot City.Sowndwave76 wrote:What's interesting is that I look at those characters in the background, and I see color schemes that resemble a couple Stunticons, one that reminds me of Swindle, and others that look like they are representing other established characters.
