Not having HMW up and running has caused me to get outside into the real world! The sunlight hurts my eyes! It will be nice to spend an insane amount of hours in front of the computer again!

Now with a real chance to get into the top 10!

As somebody that has recently joined and only played a bot, can anyone explain to me what the advantage or theory that one would choose Maximal/Predacon over bot/con?
I know the history (BW/etc), but I'm just wondering how this pertains to the game.

All the factions are identical. That said, the Preds and The Cons were the more orginised factions previously, becuase more dedicated players join those factions compaired to the Bots, and becuase the Maximals were simply too small.

Of course, all this could be forever changed come the restart.

IIRC, in the very beginning, there were some differences in alt-availability. Namely, I believe the only weapon alt in the first weeks of HMW was the Straxus Alt, and it was exclusive to the Cons. Wouldn't swear to it though. Everything that happened during undergrad is pretty hazy for me.

Now however the in-game differences are essentially aesthetic, with some out-of-game differences due to the mysteriously systematic variation in the dispositions of the players.

Fortunately not... I may be a silly fellow but I'm not all-out mental. After that incident in the air force where I was dragged along to some LAN party and had some nice "activities" the next day I know better... a LOT better!!

I also want to secure a couple nice names, hehe.
