None of yet have had that appeal that I really want. Trust me, I have seen and i have looked into the one or 2 you had (I can't remember) because I do really want one.

Well, you may be in luck then, and getting us back on topic. As so many 3rd party companies have dropped, or are dropping soon, Trailbreaker and Hoist, I'll be really shocked of the next MP announcement (for a new mold) isn't one if those two.

That's been the general consensus I have been hearing as well. I have heard of several options for MP39 and 40 that makes it sound like those 2 aren't in those slots, but I wouldn't be surprised if it takes longer than 41 or 42 to get Trailbreaker

Being pedantic for a second; it would be Trailbreaker that'd be announced first - at best both would be announced at the same time. They always release the main use of the mold first; this ain't Titans Return.

Regardless... I think they might do one of the smaller guys next like Hound, considering the last new-mold normal-sized Autobot Car was Tracks. I'd kinda like to see Sunstreaker, not gonna lie...

Dinobot hasn't been confirmed as 39, and I doubt he will be 39. If anything, I could see him being 40-42

From what I've heard, he hasn't been confirmed as MP-39. Remember the first primal? We got his information before Delta Magnus, and it was confusing enough he was labelled MP-31 for a while before Delta was officially revealed

So Takara had something to work with in making the backsides of Grapple's MP. But the backside of Elita's vehicle mode, however, was never seen.

Grapple didn't have the butt flap as seen on the MP.

G1 animation was the stellar example of consistency. Iirc, someone posted a model sheet of UM butt flap which never showed up until like later. Etc etc

Oh I know what you meant. Takara basing a product off a graphical representation at very limited angle.

If I could direct your attention to the words around 'hypocritical', most notably 'seemed' and 'at the time', which completely changes the meaning from "you are a hypocrite" to "I thought you were a hypocrite before, but I no longer hold that opinion".

But in context it was Mr. Smart mouth who started this all in the first place and got you Kurona involved. He's the one who should modify their badgering skills when it comes to presenting their own subjective opinions.

My point is, one cannot make a faithful recreation of something that has never been fully seen before. How would Takara be able to make a toy of Elita that transforms into a cartoon-accurate representation of her cartoon altmode if her cartoon altmode has never been fully seen before from any angle that enabled the entirety of her altmode (rather than just its front) to be fully visible and not obscured by Optimus? They'd have to make up a design for the back end in order to pull it off, but making up completely new designs up is not what the MP line does these days.

A much better comparison would be like if Takara wanted to make a cartoon-accurate MP human mini-figure of Spike's mother/Sparkplug's wife, when said woman was never seen in the cartoon before.

Deflecting! Bad analogy. You jump from a non character when we are discussing an actual character rendered. Accept it, you made a bad analogy. Ever heard of adoption? But just for the sake of the Star Wars argument'cause back then, Starwars was in Marvel Comics/Production territory in the 1980s but those midachlorian whatchamacallit weren't created yet until 1990.

Anyway, back to hypocrisy or maybe just plain old simple licensing fee issues.

Back during the Binaltech days, VW/Porsche refused Takara the license for the updated VW. Something about being against war toys/anti-war etc. So, Takara years later mentioned something about Tomy having a licensing deal with VW (might have been their Tomica line iirc) as the reason they made MP Bumble a reality.

Now, we're still waiting for Meister, one of the most popular Autobots in G1. Emphasis of "one" of the most popular. Yet we get Tracks instead . Maybe Chevy wasn't that stuck up with their license. But Meister aka that awesome Porsche race car is still a pipe dream (heck, 3rd party has managed to score 3 versions already).

I hope the issue for the delay is just licensing fees (hopefully Porsche ain't too greedy.......right ) and not that anti war hangup they have. So they are anti war and pro environment yet were caught by the Feds scamming their product's, iirc the modern VW beetle emission exhaust levels with a hacked program or something. In other words, greed got the better of their pro environment stance hence the "hypocrisy" angle.
