Even if the Female Autobots were male (that's a great sentence), I don't think that'd especially boost the possibility of their getting MPs because all of them bar Elita-1 are little more than background characters; and all of them appeared in a single episode. Wait, no, Elita-1 appeared in a single other episode with a completely different role, name and character model in what was little more than a background appearance.
Point is, pretty much every toy character that appeared in the show plays much more of a major role than her, so expect to get pretty much all the toy characters first. Honestly, the only non-toy characters major enough in the series to get figures would be Alpha Trion and Arcee. And, of course, the human characters as accessories. Maybe Orion Pax too? That'd be cool.

I mean maybe we'll get her eventually, but probably not any time soon.

Honestly, any female characters we in the MP line are just going to be repaints. Maybe a slight mold touch up like Roadrage, but that's its. There is simply no way Takara will ever invest the money in making a figure for such low level characters. Arcee being the one possible exception.

The 3rd party market might eventually get to it, but that would be the only chance, and even that I see as doubtful.

Or Minerva (if they ever get that far) since she was a major character in Masterforce and would require her own mold since they most likely wouldn't do Nightbeat before her, what with his having never been in the cartoon.

If we ever get any characters from beyond Season 3 that aren't repaints or leaders in MP, I will be supremely surprised.

So admittedly, it's probably a bit too early for this; but the fact we're going into numbers like 40s now made me think...

What're they gonna do for 50? That's quite a milestone, certainly one far more significant than any old Autobot Car or Triple Changer.

Kinda seems inevitable, though like the Classics Deluxe it seems like they never get tired of using it.

Still, right now, totally not gonna happen. They're gonna wait a while because they don't wanna just put out the Coneheads and then bring out a better mold they could've been based on; that'd sour some fans for sure.

50 actually isn't that far away, it should be next year! Only 11 figures in between now and then and between possible easy repaints (Jazz and Stepper? Hoist and Trailbreaker? Hauler?) and the addition of Beast Wars characters those slots are going to fill in quickly.

But as far as the 50 slot goes, I'm going to agree and say Optimus Prime 3.0 to better match the new Megatron. Wouldn't mind if it was something else like Fire Convoy after he ranked high in the poll. Also feel like we're long over due for Victory Leo and I suppose Lio Convoy will happen soon as well, but nothing feels more likely than Prime 3.0. That is, unless they do a big cartoon Grimlock 2.0.

For the inbetweeners it seems like the most likely for 40 based on what we know will either be Jazz, Mirage, Hound, or Sunstreaker. Although I do find that rumor of Skyfire intriguing. But man, we need some more Decepticons. Insecticons, Battlechargers, Triplechangers, something! I'm sure we have some Predacons coming so that'll be nice.

I agree about them holding off on Seekers 3.0 for a few years after just finishing the coneheads.

I know we're all saying Prime 3.0 would be MP-50, and I do agree that that's pretty much what they'll inevitably do for such a milestone because who the heck else could it be now that Megatron 2.0's out... but I keep thinking about it and wondering what on earth a new version could possibly do as an improvement. Prime 2.0 is already so perfect in his robot mode and his transformation and his cab mode and his articulation and his accessories, and... I just can't come up with anything. Maybe better-articulated hands and maybe the ability to swap out with MP Magnus' cab (and isn't that attached to his trailer by a screw or something?) but I can't help but feel that I'd be a bit underwhelmed by 3.0 because I can't imagine how they'd do better than 2.0.

A new Convoy is possible but seems unlikely at least anytime soon..

Takara already considers MP-10 cartoon-accurate (アニメ設定に忠実.) He and MP Ultra Magnus share the same cab design. And almost every MP Autobot was/is photographed next to him. "Disowning" now might "unravel" the line. :lol:

from what ive gathered from everyone that complained in the tfw megs thread(them viscious people).

more modern articulation
thats all i can remember but those are big things.
because when you compare mp-10 to mp-36 they look like they were designed from two different people. which they were. which also irks me making a design change in the middle of the line to go full toon starting with mp-29 mp-33 and on

I'd say Convoy's the only one who ever got an "important number" treatment, being MP-1 and MP-10. I count 10 as a big deal number since the line at the time probably wasn't originally thought to have gone all the way to 10 until it really took off after that point.

Though, it doesn't help that three of the four preceding ones were the same mold, two of which being the character, Convoy.
