What's Grimlock doing in there? Granted, we do need a new one that fits the modern MP scale better.
Sabrblade wrote:Why wouldn't it automatically be Option 2?JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Ironhidensh wrote:steals_your_goats wrote:I heard that an MP Jetfire is in the works
You might just be hearing about the coming Fanstoys Phenix.
An MP Jetfire could go one of two ways:

2) It will be based on the cartoon Skyfire design
And wouldn't it be Harmony Gold, rather than Bandai, who'd throw the hissy fit since it was Harmony Gold who threw it the last few?

JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:The Combiner Teams, especially the Scramble City ones, may have another obstacle: licensing. Would it be necessary to get licenses for 20 vehicles at most, depending on the realism of the original G1 toys? I can already give you:
Aerialbots
BAC Concorde
Lockheed Martin / General Dyanmics F-16 Fighting Falcon
McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle
McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom
British Aerospace Sea Harrier
Stunticons
Kenworth K100
Tyrell P34
Porsche 928
Lamborghini Countach
Ferrari 308 GTB
Especially Ferrari and Porsche will be a nightmare.

He is the only pre- MP-10 Masterpiece to not have a remake so far. I'd personally be expecting to see one sometime soon - heck, the upcoming movie has him, sometime in the next year would not be a bad time.

Though MP Grimlock is almost perfect but if I'd remake him, I'd squeeze his robot head a bit. The original's is slightly too stretched.

I didn't forget her or Devcon, they weren't regulars on the show nor had a toy. But anything's possible, Takara can make whoever they like.fenrir72 wrote:You missed Optimus' gal Elita-1!

Hasui said that he had designs for an MP Devastator that never happened, so he used some of it in the CW set. UW04 Devastator fits very nicely with the line.
We've never seen Elita's entire cartoon altmode, so it'd be pretty hard to have a toy made of her that transforms into something that was only ever 50% visible.fenrir72 wrote:Cyberpath wrote:I didn't forget her or Devcon, they weren't regulars on the show nor had a toy. All the ladies are getting the toy treatment(even Arcee got a lazy repaint in the Binaltech series but no Elita ) except her

Caelus wrote:My wife pointed out something interesting about the prehistoric Predacons. I said that everyone was complaining because transforming for them mostly consisted of them just standing up-right. She essentially said, 'So? That's what our ancestors did.'

What? Grapple's back was visible in the cartoon. In both modes:fenrir72 wrote:And we never saw the entire back of MP Grapple yet Takara did the "impossible".
Whether WE noticed those or not is irrelevant since that butt flap and red bumper were both visible onscreen.fenrir72 wrote:We rarely took noticed of UMs butt flap and red bumper yet Takara "transformed" them into reality!
Again, this also irrelevant since that Chromia toy wasn't trying to replicate her exact cartoon design, which is what the MPs now do.fenrir72 wrote:They retooled the Arcee mold into Chromia who had a boxy mode which they converted into a cycle.
I really don't think you understood what I was saying.fenrir72 wrote:Arcee herself was the product of the impossible a few years back. MegaEmpress, who'd have thought Takara would have repurposed her? Etc etc
Dude, seriously? God Ginrai was seen from all angles. Elita's vehicle mode wasn't.fenrir72 wrote:It's like saying making a cartoon accurate Godginrai is impossible

And? I did not go to a specific poster to insist my own very subjective point of view. So what's the quote for?
Not for the Female Autobots. Those have yet to surface.triKlops wrote:OK folks, random sidebar in this convo.
Doesn't Jim Sorenson's ,"The Ark" the complete edition, have all of the character models for each character in the G1 series?
Its been a while since I looked at my copy but i remember it being pretty comprehensive for what it was.
