Well, I mean, the whole point of releasing an optimus prime toy is so that TT can release it as Nemesis Prime. The red eyes just show that they're thinking ahead
Huh. Thinking a head eh???

They're thinking so far ahead that they went did a Nemesis even before making this new Optimus mold.

Still say we need that over here. It would sell so well

I have been into transformers since 1984. While I love G1 I also love new innovations and takes on the characters. I prefer official Hasbro releases of stuff for the most part I'm not a huge fan of Japanese original Transformers media or designs. It's easier for me to say which are my LEAST favorite toy lines: Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise. TFCon List: Classics Skywarp, General Optimus, BW Airrazor, Transmetal Tarantulus, Alternity Prime, Fire Convoy

¥5,440 @ HLJ.
Or the same price as any regular Leader Class toy... For a supreme class toy! If not bigger. Plus shipping, of course.
That's not bad. I'm ok with it. I kinda wish it didn't have lights to save cost and instead have some dang panels, but, really, this is a cool Prime. Best mold for the look hands down.

Maybe OLD Leader Class (AOE OP is way smaller than ROTF OP), plus thin and tall like Animated Lockdown? Because the picture you have just shown show a very TALL Optimus.

Come on, X. Toy commercials usually feature kids. It's TOYS. For KIDS. What's so wrong with that? "Creepy kids". Once agan, X, you exagger..
...
Never again...
lol. when my mother saw that commercial she became concerned that maybe Transformers were a little weird.
anyway, this is the kind of TT stuff I buy (TAV-21) its unique and pretty cool. I like it when they make exclusive cool things. They can keep their hello kittys and stuff.

I just meant that while he might be taller than a leader, he isn't necessarily bigger than leader class. Like Lockdown and battle blade bumblebee who were deluxe class and transform into taller transformers than the regular deluxe class. They still remain deluxe class and so I find that this toy remains leader class even though he is a bit taller. But yeah, you could say it's like the older leader toys like ROTF Optimus.

They were turned creepy because of the legal system doohickey that won't allow you to post pics/images of kids without paying them royalties or something like that. The same way certain adult films in Japan censor out the eyes (as if it will hide your identity like Clark Kent )
Speaking of which, on occassions, in Nicklelodeon or CN you also have ads with kids in them, I don't find them creepy, annoying at best.
If this is again about a certain figure being hoisted as a kids toy because of the size size.......we've heard that already from a certain someone at seibertron for like 5x and going.

I think it's that the torso, head and arms are very much in proportion to each other; then you have the short thighs, exacerbated by the super shoes (which are ostensibly a truck trailer attached to his thighs ). It makes him look like he's walking on stilts, more so than CW Menasor.

To WilliamJames: yeah I actually forgot about that Leo Convoy and I do like it but I got Go Prime and didn't want to double dip for the mold. Still...
Fenrir72: so you think the robot mode and train mode are great? Honestly those are the only modes I care about so I may have to look into this.
From your post, looks like I got a convert. If you are after the train, good luck, wj88 says its all over Amazon. You won't regret it, a quirky take on old Optimus.TAV-21? Give him a try first. Then we'll "roast" him if he turns out to be a turd. I'll be the first in line btw.

All that's missing from the picture is a properly scaled Grimlock figure. Come on, Takara! I know you can make it happen! And no, "Big" Grimlock doesn't count.
(Edit: They would need to replace TAV Fixit with Hasbro's Legion Fixit as well. Otherwise, that's a gorgeous cast shot.)
