We have more updates for the Takara Tomy Transformers Legends line, featuring three new deluxe figures in their remold prototype stage: Nightbird, Slipstream and Blackarachnia! The news comes from Facebook group HK-TF user Mike Chan, and shows the remolds being operated, respectively, on the previous Legends figures Arcee, Windblade and potentially Animated Blackarachnia. But take a look for yourself below, and let us know what you think in the Energon Pub!

Nightbird and Slipstream look fantastic, but I'm sad to say that BA is crap. I was hoping for a big smooth bulbous abdomen, claw hands, non-Animated robot legs, and somehow putting her spider legs on her robot arms. It's just not retooled enough for my liking to pass for BW BA. Still looks like an Animated design slightly more faithful to the source material

Slipstream looks cool but I wish she was a Voyager. Oh well, she looks good anyway.

I already have Animated Blackarachnia but that looks good enough that I might get her anyway and come up with a new identity for her. The palps are kinda unconvincing, but this IS a prototype. Also, there are spiders with bulbous palps like that, given their function in robot mode it makes sense- Blackarachnia DID have them in the show after all.

Yup, this won't be seeing a release outside of Japan me thinks... which means Takara had to settle. Which means an original Generations Blackarachnia will not be happening anytime soon.

I kinda think it's odd that we haven't yet seen Primal or Megatron.

They already did for the 10 year anniversary it's was those weird techno-organic ones that had cyber planet keys. Weird but still counts. Not to mention the original primal and Megatron are still the best and hold up. Are there spots of improvement? Yes but it's not a necessity.

I bet this will be a 3 pack not unlike the United three packs that have been happening like the seekers. 3 toys, $100-125 pricepoint

Not quite accurate. They have "retooled" parts. Not necessarily lazy repaints.

Seriously though, I don't own any of those molds, so if they look nice enough when colored and I find them for a decent price, I might bite.

Well technically they remolded her torso and head to be more BW-accurate. I just wish they'd gone the extra mile and given her pincer hands. That said, I'm sure someone on ShapeWays could do that...

They each have their own number, so I would be surprised if they come together. These are unrelated to the Combiner Hunters set.

I don't think he implied the Legends fembots were a boxset, just that they all sold out pretty fast. The individual remark was referencing the CH set. They were two separate thoughts
