Also, mine seems to have an big unsightly gap right in her upper chest below her neck. You can see clear through to the back of her. Is that supposed to be like that, or am I missing a transformation step? It does look like her neck and head are raised a bit too far up, so if they could be pushed down, it would fill in that weird gap and improve her proportions.
All those shortcomings are due to the figure having originally been Animated Blackarachnia.
Animated Blackarachnia's legs shins do not lock firmly into place. They just have the little notch inside each of them to hold them together.
Animated Blackarachnia's upper chest was shaped differently from the newly-molded one for the Legends figure. The original chest covered more of that gap better. Because of how Beast Wars Blackarachnia's chest was shaped, the new chest on the Legends figure leaves the gap more noticeably exposed, even after being slid all the way up.
Animated Blackarachnia had a long enough neck to allow the head to be fully tucked away in spider mode, but because the new head is smaller than the original Animated head, the length of the neck is made more obvious than it was on the original version of the figure.
Such is the price paid for their trying to make this figure into being something it's not. Granted, their efforts, while not quite there, were admirable, as that new headsculpt looks great and the new chest is very accurate to the BW cartoon model (even if it's translucent). It's just... not a piece of perfection (though, no toy ever is).
