It is my favourite shop, it helps out international buyers who get customs fees when they import elsewhere.

And you guys are very lucky to have the option to buy from local importers instead who do the heavy lifting. For many of us worldwide, buying from Anime Export is the only way of getting it for a total price similar to what BBTS is charging you.

Also, will Dinosaurer have batteries for a sound gimmick?

Is the catapult just gravity based? Or a spring powered mechanism?

Are you expecting an actual answer from anyone here?

I'm just speaking out my expectations for such an awesome figure that is better than sliced bread since Fortress Maximus. Though who knows, a so called "expert" might pop out from time to time and offer their so called expertise in the subject.

We don't know what the catapult is so there's no way to answer that. It's listed as a separate part and there has been no mention of anything like that on the Hasbro version so we have to wait for official images from Takara Tomy.

I was under the impression from Toy Fair that this mold doesn't have electronics of any kind.

Several listing have a catapult listed, so who knows what that could be about.

And yeah, Fort Max really did disappoint. I got him for $106 and still think that was too much. Should've waited 3 weeks and gotten him for $75 from TFSource, that is a bit closer.

Cerebros was the only thing from that set worth having.

Just got the EX Headmaster set from RK. What a different shade of plastic and paint can do to the lackluster Hb versions! Too bad no comic included. Though the packaging style is quite creative with the flip in front back type window.

I actually really like my Legends Fort Max and I spent a lot more on him. Sure, there's a lot wrong with him like his neutered firepower, but he does have the Master Sword and the G1 toy accurate colors (the blue window is a minor annoyance). I know I would have never been completely happy with the Hasbro version just based on the colors alone.

I am definitely in full agreement that G1 fort max is one of the best things in all TF lore.

I could see Brunt a name being changed for copyright reasons plus Brunt has never Transformed so I guess it would be easy for Takara to just make a non Transforming tank as an accessory.

I do hope no electronics for him (has that been confirmed for the Hb?). It severely limits game play and the added cost which isn't worth it.

Names aren't nearly as big of an issue for Japan, different rules apply there, especially when it comes to English names.

I did double check some of the Japanese online shops and it really does say "catapult" (カタパルト kataparuto) which is strangely specific. It could be used to mean launcher I suppose, they certainly do have better words for cannon or tank than that.

Probably the same reason Takara Galvatron is so pastel, or why their Brawn has a blue helmet, or why any other Takara figure has an otherwise show-accurate deco layout if not for one of the colors being an off shade: Someone at Takara probably needs to adjust the color of their monitors.

Yeah, figured... it's a shame, because at least the pastel looks good on Galvatron. I don't know how anyone in production didn't stop and say "wait, doesn't this brown look... kind of terrible?"

Actually it is.... somewhat ... accurate.

Hard head in the cartoon has a slightly brownish hue to the "grey" parts in comparison to other grays used on the show.

Notice the difference between his grey parts, and the gray on Chromedome's head or Highbrow's body. It is definitely brownish.

What I really, REALLY want is a Takara Punch/Counterpunch that looks just like that with the TF: Headmasters head sculpt and is a total new mold. Until then I make do with my G1 figure.

While this is how I tend to remember Galvatron...



... there are tons of times when he looks pastel in the cartoon. Its for lighting effects, and it works when the character is in motion. But for some reason Takara has taken it to mean that he is pastel when inreality its only the parts that are hit by light that are pastel. IN any case, this is what they see and the colour they choose to give him:











And same goes for their cyclonus of course

Never said we were it was more of a question.

I just want the darn head without paying 80 dollars for a figure in colors I don't want because I have more of a connection with Hardhead with a mouth since when has he ever had the face plate in prominent fiction?
