Btw are there any images at ALL of the UW Devastator's box art yet? I've been searching for a good while.

Just an educated guess, but it will probably be the same as the U.S. CW box (since that one came out first), but just with Japanese text/names as is with all the other UW boxes.

I don't know, I have a feeling it's gonna be a bit different. At least the inside should be nicer than just cardboard, like a plastic tray.

All they see is the box buddy, not what's inside there. It'll probably still be the same inside cardboard box

Maybe so! but when that figure came over to the UK it WAS designated AS Optimus Prime!(minus his Godbomber figure! which I never really could understand this omission! coz Godbomber was the partsformer that further accentuated Optimus Prime's robot mode).

Because Godbomber was a Takara addition, not planned by Hasbro at all. Yes, he came later than Powermaster Optimus Prime.

I tend to look at details first before being able to look at the whole (if I'm able to), and found something interesting in the titles the combiners are given:

UW01 Superion: Autobot Aerialbots Combiner Superion
UW02 Menasor: Decepticon Stunticons Combiner Menasor
UW03 Guardian: Autobot Protectobots Combiner Defensor
UW05 Convoy Grand Prime: Autobot Car Robots Combiner Convoy Grand Prime

Several things worth noting here:

- "Car Robots" is apparently the team name for the Optimus Maximus 'bots, harking back to the Diaclone line of the same name where the original G1 toys came from.
- As is customary nowadays, they put the Japanese name in kana, and the English name in the Latin alphabet... except for Convoy Grand Prime. Make me wonder if they're going to even use "Optimus Prime" as the English name for Convoy...

& what about Guardian? it sounds kinda like a 3rd party name for Defensor

That's the Japanese name for Defensor, and it is written in kana.

It appears the open flaps are not held in place by anything (Velcro or plastic?) Is it true do they just swing free, or are they secured somehow. This is not a deterrent, just curious.

Are you ready for a real left curve? Head designer and public face of Takara (on twiter at least), TF Yuki, has posted the most puzzling silhouette image yet for the Unite Warriors line. It is the unmistakable shadow of the Cylconus/Galvatronus torso paired with limbs. While Takara has made Unite Warriors figures that were only torsos, they were never promoted as being part of a team with a specific configuration unlike the silhouette teasers. With the Cyclonus retool seemingly a Hasbro exclusive until today, TF Yuki accompanies the image with the following:

So we have air raid, skydive, rook and off-road. I guess I'll have to wait and see what they look like before I make any decisions. I am a bit disappointed though because this probably means that Bruticus will be released later than previously thought.

They did announce that they were making a Scourge to go with Galvatron and Cyclonus.. Im hoping its made for the combiner. That way, I would have Voyager Cyclonus, Voyager Galvatron, Keep my CHUG Scourge (because hes so damn awesome) and if they make scourge combiner limbs they would officially be my sweeps that combine with Cyclonus.

Im conflicted, whilst I DO want a space shuttle or UAV version of Blast Off, I really dont want to buy the damn blades mold again.. TWICE for Bruticus.. But at the same time I hate that they are using the fireflight mold AGAIN to make the hasbro version of blast off. Had they chose to use either of the other two superion limb molds Id be way more receptive.

Seems like it would just be the previous characters that formed the limbs on hasbro's galvatronus but the rook and off road put me off this could just be a cbiner that has the replacement characters (alpha bravo, off-road, and rook) for limbs...
