Me too but the new MP looks a lot sleeker and more detailed than the old MP09

Because he is lower than the MSRP, which is something almost all japan retailers do (to the point where the notmal retail price is actually lower than the MSRP as well).

Check again on the release day, if there would be any excess pieces available, HLJ will accept more orders, and still below msrp.

More orders? As in pre orders? Well thats what I had done through them awhile ago. I happen to look at my "open orders" and it said "discontinued" even if you type in the name nothing will appear.

I'm waiting to get my shipping confirmation from HLJ. Considering it's Saturday over there, my guess is that I won't get it until Monday. Does anyone have any links to comparison shots of MP-09 vs. MP-28? I would like to see if there are any color differences. I know there's a big difference between the original G1 figures and the Hasbro MP Rodimus. I was really hoping they'd go more magenta on this MP than before. Otherwise, he looks awesome and I can't wait to get him.

So a week from Sunday is my birthday (don't ask, I'm most likely older than you, kid), and today I found out what my wife got me. Last week she asked me if I was getting Hotrod. Not wanting to explain my issues with the figure, I simply told her I was waiting for a price drop or good sale. She said okay, and I thought nothing more of it, since my wife doesn't share my interest in transformers or toys.

Today she called me to help with the payment request from HLJ. She never used them before, didn't understand how they did things, and thought they were asking for a double payment.

Easy enough mistake to make if you aren't familiar with the process. She apologized for ruining the surprise, but it still came as one to me.

So I'm getting Hotrod. I guess I'll find out first hand if he is a real Masterpiece or not. >:oP

Thats a pretty awesome story and she's pretty smart to have gotten it there instead of other more advertized places which would end up more costly.
