Based on the info that came from CinemaCon, Galvatron seems to come in rather early in the movie, within the first act. He's a lifeless, manmade mech remote-controlled by humans, created by the government in their attempts to hunt down and kill the Autobots. Optimus, having lost faith in humanity, has gone into hiding and, disguised as a beat up old white flat-fronted semi, gets bought by the Texan inventor Cade Yeager, a single father down on his luck who's trying to pay to put his daughter, Tessa, through college. She's secretly dating an Irish racer of a boyfriend, Shane Dyson, despite her dad having a "no dating" policy. When the government comes knocking on their door looking for Optimus, Cade resists at first, but when the agents, led by James Savoy and working for Harold Attinger, start using his daughter, Optimus bursts out of hiding and opens fire on the humans. After a chase scene that leads all the main humans and Optimus to a highway, Galvatron enters the scene, sent by Joshua, the lead scientist who created the manmade Transformers, and does battle with Optimus. However, their fight is interrupted by the arrival of a massive space ship, whose pilot, the neutrally-aligned bounty hunter Lockdown, exits and comes forward for Optimus. He basically mops the floor with Optimus and takes him into custody, inadvertently also scooping up Tessa who was trapped in some debris from the previous fight, as Lockdown didn't just grab Optimus but all the surrounding scrap nearby as well. As Optimus and Tessa are taken into the ship, Cade and Shane run after her by fail to reach her in time. Not much else is known about the rest of the movie other than Stinger being another manmade TF designed after Bumblebee, Savoy and Cade have a chase scene across Hong Kong rooftops and fire escapes, the Dinobots come into play somehow, Lockdown belongs to no faction and is working for somebody who's mad about Cybertronians and humans having interacted with each other (which was something that Megatron was never bothered by), there are no signs of any genuine Decepticons in this movie as of yet, and there's a scene where Cade pilots part of a ship that he crash-lands into a beer truck and damages some guy's car nearby. The driver of said car irately demands Cade's insurance to cover the damage, to which Cade responds with something like "Insurance? This is a space ship!" He drinks a can of beer from the truck, tosses it at the guy's car, turns to his daughter and says something like, "Honey, get me my alien gun."LE0KING wrote:Anyone want to hear my crackpot assumptions on how this movie is going to go down?
I bet the dinobots are going to be the mindless villains for the first half of the movie then Galvatron is going to pop up and kick the autobots' butts forcing Optimus to "tame" Grimlock and ride him into battle. Either going to be awesome or really lame.

That's all we know.
What imagination? I didn't make any of that up. All that came from the many reports on the 15 minutes of footage shown at CinemaCon 2014, and from Entertainment Weekly's article on the movie:BERSEKAEL wrote:nice imagination,

BERSEKAEL wrote:... so where exactly says "Galvatron is lifeless"?
The government agents pull out their very OWN Transformer, Galvatron. Back at the base there's a younger agent who appears to be piloting Galvatron via joystick. Galvatron is their puppet! Optimus and the piloted Transformer spar, and Optimus is losing.
It’s revealed that Galvatron is actually a remote-controlled Transformer (being manipulated from a control room by Stanley Tucci’s character and a random guy) who was presumably created so that humans would have a weapon against a future alien invasion.
Galvatron is a man-made Transformer...Basically, these are Transformer drones.
Galvatron, who seems to be controlled by someone at the command of Stanley Tucci's character...Tucci in the control room tells the person controlling Galvatron to get him out of there.

Maybe it's plugged into a port inside his lip so it doesn't fall out like a real cigar would.Bluespindash97 wrote:This is all well and good but how does Hound smoke a cigar and yell without it falling out of his mouth?
