Liege Maximo would be a pretty awesome appearance as such an obsolete big bad, but I highly doubt it. "He is coming" is a lot more Unicron-esque. We all know who he is, only a few know much about Liege Maximo.
He's not so obscure anymore, what with Hasbro having recently gone and redesigned the looks of all the known Original 13 Transformers for this new continuity--the Liege Maximo included. He was also given a mention in the Exodus novel, as were The Fallen, Vector Prime, and Alpha Trion (who was also an active character in the story). In its sequel novel, titled "Exiles", Vector Prime, Nexus Prime, and Solus Prime are to also play key roles in the story. So, Hasbro is gradually reintroducing the concept of the Original 13 and its members little by little with each new fictional piece pertaining to this continuity.

Yes there is. Seasons 3 and 4 of Prime are already in preproduction. The current plan for Prime is to have it run for at least 7 years to a decade.

Granted, it pained me at first that he was not the zany scientist that I knew and loved in Generation 1 but my tune changed very quickly. I like him as a tough guy, it was a different take.
They said at BotCon last month that Prime Wheeljack
is a mechanic like his G1 counterpart. We just haven't seen that side of him yet.
