Burn wrote:People are aware that Mkall has pretty much reached the peak of his programming abilities (at this point in time anyway) and unless someone else can come along and knows how to tackle the coding while balacing a life that there probably won't be any new additions to the game for the forseeable future ....
So saying "if the arena goes replace it with The Pit" really isn't an option. The arena goes, or the arena stays. Those are the options, plain and simple at this point in time.

Bikkusu wrote:Keep it, but make it a 1-on-1 invitation only fight. Meaning you would have to actively choose your bot, then choose your opponent (player), send them an invitation for a specific battle with optional request for a specific character they the player does not have to honor.
Invitations would be valid for two hours, so you would have to communicate with your opponent in some manner, or just hope they are online in the two hours that you have put your guy in the arena. Also make it so you cannot pull characters out of the arena to invalidate the invitation.
The two hour time limit and inability to remove your own characters will prevent frivolous use of the arena, so arena battles will be more monumental fights than a simple 1-on-1. It also makes it so there are no bots waiting in a queue for someone their level to come along and should put more people into the missions.

Unfortunately this idea would be open to abuse. Dual account using players can configure both their teams in such a way that one team will merely feed the other to increase their xp levels...
