Over the last few days, in the process of going back and forth on a few figures, I've decided to keep a few from the sales list. Notably, my favorite versions of Bumblebee in the Bayverse. One is great, and all I had to do was swap a more accurate cranium on there from a donor bot that is missing an arm. Another I really liked but I thought was plain in comparison.

Well not anymore!

I decided to freehand some details on to Age of Extinction deluxe Bumblebee from the Bumblebee Evolution 2-pack. Here's a alt mode picture before with RiD'15 warrior Bumblebee (who's another keeper)..

And then here's after some added black with Movie Premium deluxe Bumblebee.

I've jokingly said it is as clean as the factory black that is painted in areas, or the factory yellow. Not perfect, but not terrible for MAYBE 5-10 minutes of work. Luckily, there's clear areas that SHOULD have paint that don't on the standard Hasbro releases but DO on the Takara (forearms) and Hasbro Platinum Autobots United (lower trim, spoiler) versions. The toes need paint (like their Movie Premium counterpart in the picture, but also the Platinum ) and the side molding actually can be painted higher (and cleaner on the topline). I'll also add the stripe to the trunk deck that is there on the actual Bumblebee hero car in the movie (and on the Platinum). Need to add some silvery bluish something to the struts on his abs, and then MAYBE I'll tackle the wheels, which should be gunmetal and not black. Maybe.

For anyone curious, standard Testors Gloss Black Acrylic paint was used. And the standard brushes that come with those Testors paint multipacks.

Thanks!! After rewatching the movie last night, I'm glad he's painted up SOMEWHAT like he is on screen. And I think Stinger had the shurikens initially (on the display in the KSI Building) and then maybe Bumblebee copied them?! Who knows..

No worries!! Yeah, the black highlights were needed to break up the yellow. I still need to paint the Chevy "bowtie" and maybe the license plate area, and then some blue on his chest right under his pecs. I think the struts on his abs that I painted the gunmetal like the wheels and wear marks on the black are also supposed to be blue. Meh. It's made me really like the figure more, and I am hoping to find Stinger this weekend!!

EvaMode OP is a damn fine mold. You should track one down. I bet a lot of people picked one up just for the gun.

Other than having lips, he's pretty G1. If the KO comes with the gun go that route.

I've been considering a KO Nemmy Prime. I have noticed that the really cheap KOs of that mold are lacking though.

SirToys still has them both, I may need to jump in on it before it's gone. I've definitely held off, and there's no way I'm paying $100 for the Takara version of rusty just to primarily have the gun. Also, the KO comes with the ACTUAL blaster he used :lol:

After a long day and after caring for sunburns from work, it felt good to laugh at this, and then cry from pain. :lol:

So this means that Cobotron has never been a Hobotron, but he has been a Cowboytron, a Dogfoodotron, a PapaBearotron, and a Moderatotron.

Did i miss any?
