So I thoroughly cleaned off the sword after removing the Reprolabels. Those labels on super flexy parts don't work great. Testors metallic silver acrylic lightly brushed on the blade and the guard above the grip. I then used Testors metallic gold on the lower blade detail, and the jewel compartment inside the guard. THEN, I used Testors gloss blue on the jewel in the center of the guard. Grip and pommel are what the plastic was color wise.

I also forgot how well the Repros match the paint in alt mode. I think I need to touch up the factory paint on the center grille, and then fill in the side intakes on the front fascia.

BTW, I tried posting this some time ago but finally realized there was a 503 error :KREMZEEK:

Also!! Great share D-Max. I definitely like that Movie leader Optimus Prime. He's so dang chunky and solid. I really wish he had the transformation sound (like the Premium version) over that "powering up" sound or whatever. I think just with that change (not even the paint or headsculpt) he'd be awesome.

G1 Galvatron, BW Optimal Optimus, G1 Powermaster Optimus Prime, CW Onslaught, CW Shockwave (for Onslaught), TR Slugslinger, Generations Drift, AoE Bumblebee. Those are my guaranteed keeps if I had to choose 1..and by 1 I mean 8. :lol:

@Irondensh - So Binaltech Smokescreen is a never sell, but what if you could only keep one figure - what would it be? yes I like to keep bringing up this question

Why? Because it was a gift from my wife, who largely tolerates my hobby, but thinks it's a waste of money. Getting that for me really showed the strength of our bond to me, as it isn't exactly a cheap figure.

But I'd really want to keep smokescreen as well.

Yep. I agree with all of these dudes. I look at the figures in my collection and I see the day of the year I bought them. I then say "wow, it's held up well". Or, "I completely forgot this figure did *insert feature*!" Then you really feel old.

That's awesome. I think DX9 Carry will be a gift for me, CW Onslaught and TR Slugslinger were too. That's why they are on my list.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend, I know I did. I was able to visit the D.C. over the weekend and made it to the WWII Memorial on Sunday before the crowds. I had no words.

Bumblebee was with me as well.

On the way home we stopped at a Target and I found PotP Beachcomber! Fun little Autobot FO SHO!! Here he is with his original counterpart, who just so happens to be one of my first Transformers ever.

So, I decided to bring a few TR/PotP legends in with a few Titan Masters.

Beachcomber is pretty dang cool. Almost as cool as this guy.

You know what, his ridiculous face sculpt is growing on me. I just need a small sparkplug looking thing to glue to his mouth and then he's perfectly fine! Who needs a nigh-impossible to find without buying a whole new figure alternate head?! :lol:
