The Dr Who (and spin-offs) Thread *potential spoilers*

Though what kind of ship has a recall button for its escape pod? Pure madness, but good madness.
For some reason, when watching the preview for next weeks ep, I was getting a Torchwood vibe from it (as in the series, not the institution). Bring on Captain Jack. Can't wait to see his reaction to meeting Martha for the first time.

He's not scheduled to appear until episode 11.

Well one would assume that Mister Saxon has access to Gallifrean technology.

I'm still not 100% sure Mr Saxon is the master you know. From what I remember the Master would want to steer well clear of the Dr from past battles, but then again I guess if it is maybe he needs something from the Dr.
I can't remember if the Master still has his Tardis or he lost it in the movies. Mind you in the movie the Daleks killed him so I'm very interested to see how they brought him back from the dead …. especially when he was nothing but ashes. If it is him ofc.

I think ill answer this one...
at the end of the movie the master, in his new form of eric roberts, was absorbed into the tardis. so at this point he had nothing. you were right in that the daleks did kill him and the doctor was transporting the remains back home.
i cant shake the feeling it gonna have something to do with the time wars, either they needed him or as part of the fall out of it.
strange ideas just hit me though, what if there was more than daleks in the genesis ark? it was a prison after all? (yet another of my random ideas that probably wont pan out)

If the Master was absorbed into the Tardis (I only saw the movie once many years ago and can't really remember what happened in it) then I would say this is the most plausible explaination.

This seems logical to me..
Of course they could easily throw a curve ball.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Of course they will. We are, after all, talking about the same production team who raped the Daleks legacy just because he could, so what evidence is there that he wouldn't throw an idea out there only to go totally against it?

Family of Blood = Faction Paradox?
Stolen time technology, family references, blood references, all seem to be pointing in that direction.
Of course seeing as this is just based on a novel they probably won't use them again.
This week's was a little slow, but next week's should be interesting.

Still, I did spot an image of Jack in the book.
I think teh Family of Blood was contacted by Saxon to hunt down the Doc, after finding him through the phone tap last week. The next two eps will deal with him trying to avoid Saxon traps, with him finally realising he will need to face down Saxon once and for all, but he will need help with the warmongering side of things, which is why he goes and finds Jack.

Because it was The Master and he's planning to use Jack and the hand against The Doctor.

In a blue police telephone TARDIS, disguising himself as both the Doctor and Martha?
If he wanted to use Jack, why seemingly avoid him when he noticed him on the viewing screen?

We never actually saw who or what picked up Jack. We just know it was a Tardis sound. Though its safe to assume it at least looked like teh Docs tardis, otherwise Jack wouldnt have left with them. (unless your refering to that link earlier, which I havent seen cos I dont want that moment spoiled.)

Onto. ^_~ Wouldn't the Doc notice another blue box? Or detect another TARDIS?
