That's all good eggs, then! I hate it when someone puts accurate customs declarations on my imports - I tend to get screwed right up for it!
Mine is G1 Starsabre MIB C10 (missing sword blade) - $250 US before P&P. It's also the biggest waste of money ever. I sold it later for £75 GBP.
Biggest bargain - G1 Megatron C10, no accessories - £4 GBP.

I paid $330 for my MIB Brave Max about 2-3 years ago. It misses the inner box though.
I paid $115 for God Ginrai MIB (almost MISB) 2 years ago.

Re: The most expensive Transformer toy you ever bought
Oddly enough the most expensive thing I bought that was transformers related wasn't even a transformer.. it was the TFCON powered commander upgrade set..
but if it is just a transformer, then i would have to say my most expensive one was Masterpiece MP-01 Optimus Prime..

Supreme Cheetor from Beast Machines or Masterpiece Optimus Prime for me. I still need to get MP Starscream. Maybe Grimlock. ROTF Devastator is needed too...

How much was the Star Convoy reissue?
Because it was either that or Masterpiece Megatron for about 90 bucks.

Pocket change compared to what's been posted, but...
$100 for a Takara USA edition MP Starscream, which at the time, was what I thought to be the most I'd pay for a piece of plastic...until I forked over $200 for a Yamato 1/60 YF-19 (technically not a TF, I know, but it does transoform, and it's a robot).
Having said that, I'll probably pay several thousands for some obscure Armada TF that catches my fancy in the future, and tell myself that's the most I'd pay for a toy. And pay ten thousand for some customized piece of plastic crack on eBay the next week.

In 2001 I bought a MIB G1 Fortress Maximus for $550. In 2004 I was dead broke and was forced to sell him, but I got $1350 for him, making an $800 profit. If I wasn't about to be on the street, i would have never sold him, no matter how much I could have gotten.

MP Grimlock. Got him from Robot Kingdom's pre-order for September tho (so I don't actually have him yet) ... it's difficult to say how much he was. I also got the crown set, so how much he was alone is hard to say. About $180.
In the end I think I overpaid on Grimmy, but not as much as some. At TF con he was going for $230; and he's still that price at a store near me.

Hmm...I spent over 100 dollars on the Shadow Commander set.
Let's see, I spent 125 dollars on a C9 Complete Shockwave last year.
The most, though, has got to be the 170 dollars I spent on a MISB C10 Sixshot. Totally worth it.
I recently got the Alternity Nemesis Prime and paid over 60 dollars for that. That's got to be the most I'll ever spend on a figure that size. I'd like to know how much this figure will be worth in 5 or 6 years.

$50 for Unicron.
I've spent a lot of money on TFs, but I don't think any TF is worth more than $50.

On what?
Mine is $310 on MIB Road Fire. Next would be $190 for Re-issue Predaking, followed by $150 for Sky Garry.

I'm with you on this one, Guy.
The most I've spent was $90+ plus for Fort Max. In 1988.
I've come close on a few occasions, whether it be Ultimate BB or Alternators Grimlock. However, the former was a Christmas gift and the latter I wanted to shoot myself for spending $60 when I could have found it for much less if I had been patient and not wanted to triple my Alternators collection in one day.
If I was the Prince of Persia, I would have no qualms, but being a working class stiff, spending over $100 is a no-no, especially for a figure that was available in retail at one time and now is 2x, 3x, or more in asking price.
There haven't been many figures that I've come across and said to myself "Self, I spent $30 on this figure, but would have been willing to spend $20 more". Typically, a $30 figure is worth $30 to me and very few figures have some intrinsic value that is going to lead me to overpay for it.
The day I find myself rearranging my finaces to accomodate TF figures is the day I step away.

The most I spent on a TF figure was $110 with s/h (about $135) for a used MP Megatron off of E-bay. It felt then like it was an arm and a leg, and it still feels that way now. Especially since I haven't transformed him even once.

Re: The most expensive Transformer toy you ever bought
The most I've spent thus far would be $220 on Road Caesar. It's the second TF that I've successfully pieced together.
I bought Blacker and Laster for $120 loose and then dropped $100 on a MIB Braver.
It was totally worth it.

I think MPs are, though I don't know that Grimlock was worth $150... I think the most I've spent is $175 on MP-04.

My fiancee doesn't like me spending too much on figs. I think mine is leader prime from RotF. Unless you count ultimate bumblebee, I think that was around £80.

Armada Unicron, Cybertron Cybetron Primus, Cybertron Supreme Starscream, and Energon Omega Supreme, though ROTF devastator MIGHT blow these guys away in money soon or later this year/early next year.
Up until joining this forum, I had no idea of collectors spending $200, let alone $500+ for one action figure. I feel very cheap compared to the mega collectors on these boards.

Re: The most expensive Transformer toy you ever bought
I paid about $180 for Henkei Wildrider in January.
But I decided that was way too much for a single Transformer so I sold him (loose but complete) in September for $250.
$150 is the absolute maximum I would pay for any Transformer new or old unless they ever make some kind of Masterpiece Devastator in which case I would stretch to $200.
