I think I remember the one your talking about, wasn’t one of the entries a close-up on Primes face with the constructicons doing stuff in the background? that’s sort of where I got the idea for this, except only transformers based entries was what I was thinking about.

Yeah, there was a 'Recreate an Important Historical Event' contest as well. I remember that I used Classics Astrotrain as Challenger...
Recreating, eh? Maybe something like 'Recreate a Scene from a Video Game.' Participants would have to provide a screenshot of what it is they're recreating, naturally.
I see things like Unicron as Pac-Man, or Sideswipe and Sunstreaker as the Mario Bros.

I meant recreate a scene from only transformers shows, like a scene from G1 or a scene from the movie, has they’re been one like that already?

It's not that it's already been done, more that recreating a scene from G1 or the movie wouldn't really present all that unique of a photo. I see many generic entries that look alike.
Themes that are vercitile and people can interpret and play with are better suited for this contest. Trouble is, I'm running out of such themes.
There are some that just won't work.

It is the year 2005 ... and it is time for both Autobots and Decpticons to pay restitution for years of ravaging the Earth. Photograph your favorite Transformers having to do community service, serve time, or at work trying to pay their debt to society.
Cannonball Run. Transformers are in a race for the ultimate prize. What is the prize? Who's in the race? Are they playing fair or dirty? You decide. Then go photograph it.
The Ultimate Battle. When all the smoke clears, only one Transformer rises above the wreckage to be crowned champion and ultimate survivor. Photograph the victor and his spoils of war.
Election Time. Your task is to create a political campaign poster for your favorite Transformer candidate. Prime for President? Megatron for the Chair of the School Board? Photoshop is allowed.
The Anti-Photo Photo Contest. No photos this round. This time, submit your best piece of hand-drawn 2D Transformer art work.
