Ditto on this. I'd like Sari just fine if it wasn't for the Mary Sue key. (And hearing some of the comments about it here is making me groan a little before watching the ep myself. But watch it I shall anyway.) Unlike Daniel, she's not a clueless idiot.

Sari's key must respond directly to her will and adapt itself to any machinery surrounding. I don't understand why the Autobots didn't ask to examine it the first time it healed Prowl, and they should want to look at it even more now. Sari herself remains the first and only entertaining kid ever on a TF cartoon.
The BB/Prowl stuff naturally felt overstated to us grown-ups, but it's a fun dynamic and probably written just right for the target audience. I hope that the show can keep up the quality of the premiere, since I didn't find this episode as much fun to watch, but it looks as if it'll keep its audience.

To which I will now say my peace:
My son, the target audience.....& a pretty big Transformers fan, I might add.....got up in the middle of it to go play Super Mario Bros.
All I can really say is yawn. a sleepover....yeah, great plot there
I dunno...I'm really not liking the superhero angle. it seems like it's going to go too slow. I mean, from the looks of it, it's going to take up most of the first season, if not all, to get around to showing just the decepticons they had in the first episode.
On the plus side, though, it looks like "teamwork" dosen't mean one Autobot does all the fighting while the rest act like a cheerleading squad anymore.

The way Prowl is depicted in this series reminds more of Hound or Beachcomber from the original series than Jazz. Jazz was more into human "pop culture;" Prowl in this series seems more intrested in the natural elements, much like Beachcomber. In fact, Bumblebee reminds me more of Jazz than Prowl does.

Prowl though I'm loving the most. So far he seems to have the most depth to him. I'm sure the others will get some focus time to dig deeper eventually.

Prowl is seeming to be an interesting character. He is totally immersed in learning every little thing about earth and it's natives. Enjoying himself greatly. I can see him growing on me (one of the ONLY Autobots I can actually say that about
One gripe, really...that key of Sari's has GOT to go! Such a weak link in the plot!

Prowl is quickly becoming a favorite character of mine. He's intriguing, he's a badass, I love the voice, and I have a bit of a soft spot for the sort of characters who find themselves lamenting "Why must I be surrounded by idiots?"
I also love how utterly creepy Megatron is... it's awesome having villains that really make you nervous. The whole end sequence was pretty suspenseful, and a great show of teamwork and "lessons learned" without feeling overly cheesy. In a way, the overdone lameness of the Angry Archer served as a contrast to the true nastiness once the 'Cons come knocking.
I didn't mind the sleepover myself... mainly because of the Autobots' perplexed/incredulous reactions to it all. "And the point of this story is...?" Sure beats the Autobots enthusiastically watching *soap operas* in one of the G1 eps.
That key does still suck, though. Meh. At least it didn't save the day this time around. I do still like Sari herself, and Sumdac is amusingly absent-minded.

I wonder if the directions they're taking with Sari are efforts to get girls to watch the show as much as boys? That would be terrific, and I think it'd change the way that subsequent TF series get pitched and written.

It feels to me (at least) that it's basically The Powerpuff Girls Meet The TransFormers.
Which is fitting, oddly enough. Sari is voiced by Tara "Bubbles" Strong.
I think that's part of Sari's charm. There's a bit of Bubbles and Buttercup in her and TFs all around.
I'm lovin' it.

One thing I thought about is, how is Megatron alive with only a head? They have already showed sparks, it must of been the key, brought his spark back inside of his head.

Maybe his spark has always been inside his head. There's no rule that states that a spark has to be in chest. TM2 Cheetor for instance had his spark in his leg.

It is an entertaining show, and better than reruns of the Cybertron/Energon/Armada series.
I enjoyed the malice that Megatron was able to perform from only being a head. He will be awesome in this show, just from his beginnings as a full bot, and only a head.
The Autobots, well, they are at this time the comedy, the silliness, of the series. They don't seem to know about the internet like movie Prime did, so they are learning about the Earth through their only expert: Sari--a ten year old girl with ten year old girl POV on the world--which included sleepovers, calling friends, shirking responsibilities, and at times annoying parents--so unfortunately for the Autobots this is the friend they are using as expert at this time. hopefully they will find another source at some point, but I imagine Megatron and the Decepticons will adapt more quickly than the Autobots.
