In this pic he has a face that doesn't match the others:
Here are the others for a comparison:
Kup98ss wrote:The guys that are pissed of at this show don't need to watch it.
But they will keep watching it just so they can bitch about it.
Jeysie wrote:But I just had to say, I'm a bit... bemused by people who seem to be knocking the show *solely* on the animation style. I don't like it much either, but I consider characterization/dialogue, story/plot, and voice acting much more important, and there I have very little complaint.
Code3 wrote:Not bad...I actually watched the entire episode on youtube since I missed out on TV...Im a HARDCORE G1 FAN, so this was not as GAY as I thought it would be....the girl is stupid, get rid of her, and introduce some more characters and the concepts has potential, but its still not G1!!!! Overall, Ill give it a 6 out of 10!
Burn wrote:That animation style doesn't do the TF's justice. They don't look like robots at all. They are not aesthetically pleasing to my eyes, and THAT is why even if it was the greatest thing written with amazing characterisation (which I highly doubt will happen except for 1 or 2 characters), it will simply be too hard to watch as I can't accept them as Transformers when they simply look like badly drawn generic robots.

Believe me the toys went away for awhile here in the States.

Autobot032 wrote:But, if you watch the movie again...Ratchet: "Why do you waste your time with those old history vids?" (meaning that it's content actually took place)
Prime: "All the great Autobot leaders learn from the past!"
Ratchet: "Look around you Prime, the great war's ended, centuries ago."
Prime: "But you were there Ratchet, you saw some action! What were the Decepticons really like?" (confirming he was in the original great war, mentioned in the history videos)
Ratchet: "Trust me kid, you're better off not knowing." (confirming Prime's statement)
Autobot032 wrote:Based on the dialogue, and the cameos (Ultra Magnus, G1 design Arcee, etc) and the Allspark looks like the Autobot Creation Matrix Of Leadership (orange/gold box with blue light crystal, handles on the sides), etc...
Autobot032 wrote:this is a sequel to G1, 250 years after G1. This show takes place in the 22nd century, G1 was of course the 20th. century. Then these Autobots reawaken 50 years after their crash...for a grand total of 250 years in the future after G1.
Autobot032 wrote:And before you mention Beast Wars...it takes place 300 years after G1. Animated's universe could easily take place between G1 and the theft of the Golden Disks/launch of the Axalon.
Autobot032 wrote:I might be wrong in the end (once official word comes down) but going based on the facts in front of us...if you can't see it as a G1 sequel, then you're missing out on quite a bit.
Autobot032 wrote:Ratchet's the oldest of them all, he was in the great war and remembers the Decepticons as stated before, these kids he's workin' with are either descendants of the original 'bots or named in honor of them.

Kryptoniteking wrote:As I've stated before on another thread, this new incarnation fails because it does not draw on the original fascination we all had with the original series.
Before you jump on that statement, let me explain. The original toys were based off of real vehicles we all would see on the streets, skies and television. How many of us can name what type of vehicles the original Prowl, Silverbolt, Starscream & Bumblebee were? I know we can all name the type of vehicles all the characters transformed into from this past summer's movie!
I (personally) can't understand why, since the original animated movie, they would continue to go the direction of "futuristic" vehicles or for that matter, basing the later series in the future. The appeal, to me, was that everything was set in the "here and now", the Autobots and Decepticons were disguised as vehicles/machines in the "here and now".
Why do you think the TF toy sales went down (and eventually away) for awhile in the 90s?
If it weren't for the Alternator & Masterpiece line-ups I probably would not have gotten back in the business of collecting the toys or watching any of the new cartoons! I mean, c'mon... Smokescreen as a Subaru WRC Impreza... ANIMATE THAT SHIZZLE!
This is, by far, the worst "reboot" of a classic!
