I love it, the designs are a bit off, but the overall quality of the show is great, so colourful and well scripted.

I've considered all that you listed... It failed to grasp my attention. I really went into it wanting to like this show. When "Batman: The Animated Series" first debuted, I was skeptical of it until I actually saw the awesome quality of the animation combined with the excellently written stories, won me over! I don't get that feeling from this new TF series.

PS. My first post. It only took me four years to make it.

You're welcome (albeit the help was unintentional). I must admit I'm a tad puzzled at the confusion myself... the TF universe seems to favor reboots anyway, and the little G1 references struck me as nothing else but fanservice in the non-sexual sense of the term. Nice little easter eggs.

TheMuffin wrote:It really doesn't have anything to do with size of the toy. It's ranking of the transformer. A minicon will always be lower on the totem pole than a micromaster. Etc etc.

Okay.
But still how does the ranking system work exactly? What are the ranks, how does one change his/her rank, what causes a rank change, can one mave down in rank, etc. etc...

Nemesis Cyberplex wrote:Animated is not a sequel to G1. Period. The G1 "history" clips are meant to refer to the fact that G1 is actual real-life Transformer history, but in the fiction of Animated, the Great War has no bearing on G1's Great War, or anything TF that came before Animated, & vice versa. Animated is just another universe in the great TF multiverse, which we all should know by know is hasbro's catch-all "It's all good" backdrop for TF mythos.
Sabrblade wrote:Speaking of newcomers, I'm looking at my rank under my name and it says I'm a Micromaster. When I joined it said I was a Mini-con. How exactly does the ranking system work?
And isn't "Micromaster" a step down from "Mini-con" size wise? I know MMs could speak naturally unlike MCs who bleeped at first and spoke later, but their (MMs) toys are smaller.
Sabrblade wrote:Alrighty then. Thanks, Shadow Dragon.
THIS JUST IN!!! Transformers: The Animated Series will debut on Cartoon Network next Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Eastern time, starting with episode 4 "Home is Where the Spark Is".
