I dunno, season 1 was pretty dark as it is. Or at least, episodes 1, 2, 4, 7, and 16 were, with the best episodes (12, 13, 14, 17, 19, 20, 22, and 23) also having some dark tones to them. The problem with the other episodes isn't their lack of darkness, but their lack of engagement. There doesn't need to be more "darkness", but rather, more "gravitas". Gravitas is what made shows like Beast Wars, Animated, Masterforce, Beast Machines, and others so good. Thus far, Prime has only really granted this aspect to a few of its plots and characters (most of which began with the amazing episode 12), but it has improved since. Hopefully, we can get more of this in season 2, cuz it's what can help make this show a winner.Zequem wrote:I have this feeling after watching the teaser of "One Shall Rise" that Season 2 will be pretty dark compared to Season 1. Well, at least I'm hoping so. It would be a waste to bring Unicron now and kill him off immediately.
One more week for new episode. I can't wait!

I know what you mean, and I guess I kind of phrased it wrong. Was supposed to say "even darker". I should really think more while writing, especially since English is "only" my third language.
Anyway, I'm already in love with this show, and I don't see any reason why they would suddenly start making terrible episodes when they've shown the potential of the show. If they bring more characters in season 2, I hope they really give them personalities (just like they've given all the other characters thus far) and don't just leave them to the background.
Ugh, I hope that made sense even slightly. I shouldn't write this late...

The first part of "One Shall Fall" is. It is part 1 of 3 last episodes of the series. It covers episodes 24, 25 and 26. So yes, there are only two more episodes if you are following the series weekly either by the Hub, Teletoons or youtube.

The 3 parter is entitled "One shall Rise", one shall fall is the episode before that.

Yes. "One Shall Fall" is episode 23. "One Shall Rise" is the three-part finale consisting of episodes 24, 25, and 26.Dead Metal wrote:LadyBug wrote:Shadowman wrote:5150 Cruiser wrote:Incredible. Because of this confusion, I'm starting to not like how "One Shall Fall" ended on a cliffhanger like it did, as its fooling too many people into thinking that it's part 1 of the finale when it's more like a "part 0" prelude for the finale instead.

To clarify, I don't need figure/toy images, and I don't need alt mode images. I'm specifically looking for the vehicon on a white background image (like they have prime, bee etc. on hub's site, and still have here in old news posts).
Thank you in advance for any help....

-Bulkhead saves Optimus and lays a decent smack-down on Megatron.
-Earth isn't Unicron and no one ever said it was. There's just a ton of Dark Energon. Megatron says he can resurrect Unicron with it all...Unicron was dead? I guess the Original 13 did a lot more than just drive him off...
-"You guys killed a unicorn?" Miko is the first character to point out the similarity of "Unicron" and "Unicorn" in-universe.
-Did anyone tell June that you can't assume the Decepticons will leave them alone? She takes Raf home (Without Ground Bridge, not sure why) but Jack and Miko decide to stay.
-"Mother nature's got a twitch in her britches." Can...can you say that in a kid's show?
-Yeah, June should have taken that Ground Bridge.
-Oh, she survived. That preview really pulled a fast one on me.
-"But you're grounded 'till you're 30...25."
-Fowler is quite happy to see June....yeah.
-Oh ****...he lives...
-Optimus tells the old story, Primus vs. Unicron, as well as the involvement of the Original 13, including showing most of them.
-The design of the Core of Cybertron is VERY similar to it's design in
-Unicron's new design is pretty sweet, but I don't like how his horns are thicker where they meet his head.
-Earth isn't Unicron...Earth is AROUND Unicron, though.
-Unicron doesn't want Megatron's help...maybe he remembers the last time he hired a Megatron...he wants Optimus dead pretty badly, though.
-Unicron can form avatars out of the Earth itself. Awesome.
-Optimus tries to appeal to Unicron, saying that his resurrection would harm humanity, a species that exists because of him. Unicron doesn't care. Optimus shoots him down. Unicron doesn't care. He just makes more of him.
-Unicron is freaking AWESOME.

Well, that was certainly interesting, wasn't it? I'm liking the concept of Unicron being surrounded by Earth. I've never heard of that storyline being used in any of the continuities. Also, didn't expect such an early physical confrontation between Optimus and what I'm calling Unicron's Heralds. It will be interesting to see how this all develops, and what role Megatron will play in the outcome...
One thing: What on earth (no pun intended) made Optimus thought Unicron would bow to logic and reason? Maybe we should rename him "Optimist" Prime...lol

They're not really heralds. The Fallen is a herald, Shokaract is a herald, Galvatron was a herald. Those weren't heralds, that was Unicron himself forging tiny little versions of himself and controlling them directly, which is why I used the term avatar.
iaconportland wrote:One thing: What on earth (no pun intended) made Optimus thought Unicron would bow to logic and reason? Maybe we should rename him "Optimist" Prime...lol
He probably figured he could appeal to Unicron's ego. Hence why he referred to him as Lord Unicron, and kept complimenting him. Optimus thought Unicron would like the idea of having a planet of tiny little servants, following his every command, or else he'd transform and roll out and end the Earth itself.
It turns out, Unicron is a bit more picky about his followers, and his standards are much, much higher. Which, now that I think about it, is a major blow to the Fallen's job security.

It's more complicated than that. He's not Earth, and Earth isn't him. The line is pretty blurry, though. Optimus DID say that Unicron most likely no longer has or needs physical form, which actually explains everything. Remember, in the old version of their backstory, Primus and Unicron didn't have physical form when they ended up trapped in those asteroids, but over time, learned to control them. This actually explained how Unicron can make avatars out of bits of the Earth.
Tune in next week when I'm proven completely wrong about this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the series explained that unicrons drifting body attracted all different kinds of minerals, making the earth. That was the point I was making. Never saw THAT in a marvel comic

Unicron's body certainly is large enough to have a significant gravitational pull. In this continuity I suppose its possible that when Unicron's corpse drifted into our young solar-system and fell into the sun's orbit, the pull his massive form had on the raw materials orbiting with him. It coalesced around the body and the constant shifting, coupled with intense heat and energy, broke down the body under the crust of the new planet. Thus: Unicron becoming the core of the planet.
....or at least that's what I gathered.

Journey to the center of the earth coming up.
Optimus shows himself a master tactician as well as an awesome combat commander when he humbled himself to appeal to the ego of the ancient enemy. Basically he was saying,
“Hey, if you kill us it’s one thing but spare these humans.” Now THERE’S some character development for you.
Awesomeness all around.
