Seconded. Hopefully it looks more Hot Rod/Rodimus-inspired.

Actually that might be better.
That way we can both Rodimus and Hotshot without them being the same guy.
That way if Rodimus appear,he can look like Rodimus.
Yeah a Rodimus like guy name Hotshot appeared in DS version of War for Cybertron, but just there.

Galaxy Force = Cybertron? I haven't made it past Armada yet to find out. I haven't really watched a whole episode of Animated or played the video games yet either. The video game trailers and the WFC toy do look cool, though.

I'm maybe not educated enough on all things TF to make that sweeping statement. I can stand by this, though...

They either didn't use an updated representation, or it was badass enough.

Season 2 is going to be awesome so Orion Pax is a 3prt story arc.

Looks like Jack is getting a more important role and will be the key to getting Prime back his memories.

I wonder if the Key is the way to unlocking his memories in some way or will Jack do something to unlock them.

I know now to stay away from sites such as IMDB they are wrong always are must be done by fans such as wikipedia.

Soundwave talking is going to be cool I hope it will be done similar to how he talked in TF-Cybertron.

From now on I will just wait and watch instead of trying to find out info on my own.

Busy with new games right now anyways such as Final Fantasy 13-2, KOA, Devil Survior 2 and my Mass Effect 3 N7 CE version with Kinect.

I just hope Prime keeps up the pace but I suspect there will be a few dud episodes here and there.

I dont expect any new characters until after Orion Pax story is finsihed and the 1st one will be Dreadwing.

I dont see the Dinobots popping up until wither midseason or the end of the season in some sort of multipart story arc.

Also the same with Combiners dont see that happening until late season 2 or eariy season 3.

Right now I wanan learn more on the Key To Vector and see how it will be used to revitilze Cybertron.

Will the bots remain on Earth if it is reborn will it be done diffrently than with Rebirth from G1.

I hope with the combiners it will be a new and unique one never before seen made exclusively for Prime.

I want one of my favs to be in Prime SixShot.

That toy was friggin awesome when I was a kid.

I think he's sexy. I'm not a woman.

He's more relatable, I believe, as he shows the weaker side of human emotions.
He's 'the bad guy' but with something that keeps him vaguely real.

Also, the voice.

I think Steve Blum is sexy, actually. His voice, at least.

He plots to backstab his boss but always falls short, then shows off his massive cowardice in order to get away with it, only to completely forget this and repeat the process anyway. I don't relate to that, I don't think anyone could.

The need to constantly betray your superiors only to completely chicken out when you inevitably fail, only to repeat the process having learned nothing? That's human behavior?

Are we talking about the same humans here? Because I've been studying this species for almost 23 years, and I haven't seen anything like that outside of small-scale isolated individuals. So maybe you're talking about some other species of humans. Do you even know anyone that acts like that?

Well...this clearly isn't true as Va'al just posted saying he does. :)

In the end, I think the "Starscream is sexy" conversation (I can't believe I just wrote that) is not going to lead to any useful conversations. No one is going to be "right" here...it is a matter of personal opinion. Va'al offered a reason for his opinion..I don't know if telling him he is wrong is going to lead to anything except more arguing.

I don't personally find Starscream sexy, but I am not going to yuck someone else's yum. :)

Hm. I was thinking more in terms of actual fictional character relatability.
I'm pretty sure most people, at least once in their lives, really want to 'backstab' their boss. We all think of how we could handle a situation, what we're going to say, play out different scenarios. Then, as we get to the moment, we lose all courage.

Not all the time, true, but it does happen.

Characters who show ambition but make no effort, or manage to sabotage themselves are liked by audiences. Think Scooby-Doo and Shaggy, for example.

The reader/viewer does not want to be that character, but can project traits of themselves onto it.

As I see it, at least; you're welcome to disagree, of course! :)

EDIT: Didn't see your post there, sorry. I agree, it does come down to personal opinion, obviously, but I still felt like expanding on my point. I'd rather the conversation did not evolve into a full-heat row!

No problem. I didn't mean to tell people what to discuss and what not, although I just re-read my post and I certainly came off that way.

I just saw what could easily have become a conversation where someone is trying to convince someone else of something that is intrinsically subjective. However, I can certainly see the merits of discussing characters and how we can relate to them. I had never thought of Starscream as someone with relatable characteristics, but I can see your point.

Personally, I still don't find him sexy, though. :)

Guys, really? Va'al is not out of line here. This Starscream is an excellent character! Arguably the best Decepticon of this series (along with Airachnid). His characterization and portrayal are simply wonderful, being so realistic and humanlike that he's become sympthetic. He's like Armada Starscream done superbly. What makes him so relatable is that, this time, he doesn't feel like a cartoon caricature this time around, but like a person. His emotions are deep ly portrayal, wide in range, and very believable. His cowardice isn't comedic this time, but sympethetic. His ambition and determination aren't repetitive, but this time are admirable. He has dreams and desires he wants to achieve, but is constantly shot down by his superiors, which I'm sure we've all experienced in some form. And when he's admitted his mistakes, he tries his hardest to make amends and feel like he belongs again, which many of us have also tried to do (who hasn't felt like an outcast after being scorned by his/her peers for something stupid he/she did as a kid?). And when he simply cannot find his place among the Decepticons, he leaves to do some soul searching and find his place in the world on his own, which (while certainly not everyone has done, but) some people have done in their lives. All in all, this is a sympathetic Starscream and one of the best.

Not sure who the plural "guys" are....I don't think anyone claimed he was out of line, although I do think that if this debate became "I think he's sexy" "No you don't, no one does" than it is not going to get anywhere.

Thus far, though, the conversation has stayed away from that despite Shadowman's (perhaps unintentional) dismissal of Va'al's perspective.

I still have no idea what's supposed to be human about him. I don't know any human who acts like he does.

What show have you been watching? Sure, we've all had dreams and desires get shot down, but none of mine involved attempted murder. Which, in Starscream's case, also counts as treason.

And the only reason he admits his mistakes is because it's the only way he can think of to survive his situation. He doesn't do it out of remorse or regret; it's Starscream, we already know he doesn't feel those things. He does it out of fear and cowardice. He would rather live as a coward than own up to his role as a traitor.

Sabrblade wrote:And when he simply cannot find his place among the Decepticons, he leaves to do some soul searching and find his place in the world on his own, which (while certainly not everyone has done, but) some people have done in their lives.

Which it turns out was based entirely on his paranoia threatening his ego. And then, when he finally thought he found a new place, they reject him because it turns out he murdered one of their friends and unwittingly bragged about it. Oh, and not because of a slip of the tongue, but because Arcee was talking about a different murdered Autobot and he didn't realize it.

Sabrblade wrote:All in all, this is a sympathetic Starscream and one of the best.

Galaxy force Soundwave is Badass AND G1-ish

Also. I HIGHLY Recommend watching Galaxy Force as Apposed to Cybertron. They have the same scenes and animation, but are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! Galaxy Force is one thousand times better at least. In TF: Cybertron, they try to make it a continuation of energon and armada. It doesn't work, the reason being that it was originally a stand-alone series, like Animated or RID. I recommend watching it subbed, NOT dubbed. Lots of anime are good dubbed, but TF Cybertron (Along with quite a few others) is much better with it's original scripting.
Example?
Galaxy Force Soundwave: "More like fear of one's self"
Cybertron Soundwave, Same scene, english: "He's just trippn' cuz he got served!"
You see what I mean?

Plus it was obvious that Hasbro had always intended it to be a Sequel to Armada, with announcing it that way and the fact that Megatron has Unicron parts after absorbing his power at the End of Energon.

Well that's all fine on it's own, but the differences and holes in the story speak for themselves. Sideways just Magically returns, Ironhide and kicker just dissapear (They re-appear in the last episode of the english version along with quite a few key characters and minicons IIRC) First aid/Red alert comes back (Finally) And has an accent (What, did he get sent off to investigate australia?) Everyone forgets how to powerlink, rodimus and prowl go bye-bye, landmine shrinks and changes his voice too, Bulkhead/Springer are gone (Did he die? It's been a few years, may need to recap) and all of the while, Starscream STILL Hasn't recovered his memories of Armada, And the energon combiners have totally vanished. One of the only real consistancys I can think of between Energon and Cyberton is the "Speed Planet". In Energon, HotShot's the one who introduced it to us in the racing episode, (one of only two episodes optimus uses his armed combination as apposed to his flight combination I might add) Then in Cybertron, he arrives, and doesn't know jack about it. Another thing. Wingsaber combines with optimus in Energon. Yet, in Cybertron, when they combine, they act so surprised! Why? Wasn't it like, just a couple years ago that Wingsaber was born from the nobel wingdagger and givin combination abilities? now he's a pompus ass who's known optimus (As wingsaber) Since before the series. He even has a record! I can't ignore these differences. There are just WAY to many. I accept it as a seperate series altogether. Of course, this is all from memory (Not recent either) So feel free to correct me, and I know one of you guys will...

BeastProwl wrote:Well that's all fine on it's own, but the differences and holes in the story speak for themselves.

The thing is Hasbro intended Cybertron to be the final instalment of the Unicron trilogy, however studio Gonzo only utilised the characters and designs and made their own story ignoring the original intent.
It was later explained that when Unicron died at the end of Energon, it created a black hole that effed up the multiverse changing stuff and characters, which explains all the plot holes in ever series ever.

I Guess if you look through the eyes of Unicron's multi-dementional existances, you cold unite every single transformers continuety into one. Still, maybe if they made a comic or book or something to fill in ALL The gaps...
