The Official Transformers: Robots In Disguise (Animated Series) Thread
Re: The Official Transformers: Robots In Disguise (Animated Series) Thread
William-James88, let me put it in another way so that you can understand it even better. Okay, you feel that you're just going to simply dislodge that by wrapping everything around you by saying that both Autobots and the Decepticons are exactly the same age, rather than giving a full biography of those characters in order to confirm on just which Decepticon is young, middle-aged, or old, and which one is the oldest or the youngest, in order to fit their profiles. See, you don't want to do that way. You don't want to identify who these characters are, how old they are, and what they do. You don't want to set up a chart and give the exact age of how young or old that these Decepticons are, based on their names, and their actions. As I said earlier, this is how the chart should look:
Name = Young/Middle-Aged/Old Name = Youngest/Oldest
And also as I said earlier, because Drift has a beard, is he a young, middle-aged. or old character?

Wow, it's like duragrip, but more reasonable, just as random, but reasonable.
Anyways, before I get smacked by Burn for mentioning that, I'm hoping that for the finale, some major-league Decepticon (Megatronus?) arrives and basically kicks the crap out of Steeljaw for trying to rally the escapees. Thoughts?

NOBODY **** KNOWS.
For ****'s sake, man. You give us the full biography on all of the characters that will make an appearance in this series. You put the characters in order from oldest to youngest. You identify who these characters are, how old they are, and what they do. You set up a chart and give us the exact age of these characters, based on their names and their actions. You tell us if Drift is a young, middle-aged, or old character.
What's that? You can't?
NEITHER CAN WE. WE DON'T KNOW ANY MORE THAN YOU DO. WE'RE NOT WORKING ON THE SHOW.
Why do you care in the first place? Why are you pestering everyone to make you a chart? What purpose does it serve? Is your life depending on having this organized information source? Also, will the series be cancelled? Will this series have 78 episodes or 156? Once you've answered these pressing questions, you can tell me when the world is going to end. I want this all done by the 14th in time for Valentine's Day.

It would be just like TFP Megatron to come kick the crap out of someone if they were to try to revive the Decepticons. However, I'm betting on this Megatronus character to be one of the Primes in Optimus' afterlife adventure.

Re: The Official Transformers: Robots In Disguise (Animated Series) Thread
PrymeStriker, let me just re-clarify this for a moment, okay. From what I can tell from you right now, if I can hear you correctly is that you're not happy with everything on how I responded. And I clearly understand that, which is my fault.
Look, I know that this might upset a lot of people. I'm truly sorry that this has happened to you. However, your feedback is very important to me and this community. I remember seeing you online on this site in the forum section, and from what I can tell that you've been a very loyal user to this site. But I want you to understand one thing, I don't know just how old that these Decepticons are, and neither do you. Which is why I'm extremely curious in knowing the ages of these character in order for me to know them more, that's all. I don't care about their actions, their jobs, or their looks. I only do care about the age. And why, because I really do care about this show, just as much as you do. Look, I'm really sorry if I have to tell you this, but there is something that I really have to tell you about all the things that you want hear and the things that you need to hear.
Finally, it's not my job to create a chart of the ages of the Decepticons, since that I'm not an expert on that. It's someone else's job to create this chart for all of us to see. I don't mean you. I mean whoever on this site knows how to do this, please feel me to show it to me once it is finished. You don't have to be perfect to be creative, but be specific. Therefore, there's no need to be upset about. But I can see exactly where you're from, in that you're furious right now, which I completely understand. I really do hope this message has made you realize that we're all here to help, and not to fight.

That's the trouble. No one on this site knows more than you do regarding this series. william-james88 has no idea how old any of the characters are; he was being sarcastic from what I can tell. At first, I thought your questions were mere discussion topics throwing around speculation, and that everyone was getting worked up over your posts for nothing, but recently I've noticed you're honestly asking us questions that no one has the answers to. The only people you could possibly ask that would know the age of the characters or be able to give you a chart representing the ages would be the producers and writers of the show, not the moderators and members of a fansite following the show just like you are.
That said, I found it interestingly arrogant of you to outright demand a chart from william-james88. You're right; he doesn't want to make a chart for you. Not only because he can't, but it's no one's "job" on this site to do anything of the sort. It's our "job" as members to discuss the Transformers franchise, and it's the "job" of people like william-james88 (though, not him specifically) to moderate such discussions. Not create charts for you.
If you really care so deeply about how old each character is, Bumblebee's ragtag team of misfits seem generally youthful while the Decepticons seem like a bunch of middle-aged criminals. This is, of course, in relativity to a human's pace of growth, rather than overall lifespan. One must consider that the Well of AllSparks was just recently regenerated some years prior to this series, and therefore it may be logical to conclude that all characters, Bumblebee and Sideswipe (maybe Grimlock) aside, are from the new generation of Cybertronians.
But, again, this is all speculation. That's all we can do. Nothing in that paragraph is set-in-stone gospel to follow. The show hasn't aired yet. We know nothing about these characters at all. Trying to get a chart out of someone with this information is like asking someone on the street for all of their personal possessions. You're clearly not going to get what you want.

Not that I know of. I thought he was going to collect meet them all at different points of the season. Unless I missed some news.

Not to be rude, but none of us owe the site to create a chart of information that isn't important to the whole of the site, ask any member that is a veteran on here and the reply will be the same: "Why would it matter?". And both my and PrymeStriker's point on this is that such a chart cannot be created, as the show hasn't aired and we don't know a single thing about any of the characters!
Despite your strange need for this chart, I salute you on excellent grammar and punctuation!

Yeah, it was in one of the episode summaries, they are fighting a skunk based Decepticon and Optimus trains with the Minicon member of the Thirteen.

People are finally starting to do something about psj333's unanswerable questions, and it only took seven years.
That toy is not a Transformer. The video and the guy in the video call it a "Transformer" unofficially just for fun. It has nothing to do with the Terrashock character in this new cartoon because it is just something the guy in the video built in his spare time out of Technic and Bionicle pieces. To think of this thing as an actual Transformer in any official regard just because the video and guy used the word is extremely naive and foolish.
If you were to look on any database website for official Lego sets, you will never ever find an entry for Lego Transformers, let alone this Terrashock figure, because Lego has never ever had the Transformers license. This thing is a creation of the guy in the video and no one else. Not Hasbro, not TakaraTomy, no one. The fact that it bears the same name as the Terrashock character from this cartoon is nothing short of a coincidence.

I looked up that video, and you were seriously fooled by it.psj333 wrote:Sabrblade, if you really don't know what I'm talking about, you can find the video on YouTube by typing Lego Transformers Terrashock, and you will realize what I'm talking about.

Re: The Official Transformers: Robots In Disguise (Animated Series) Thread
Sabrblade, even if the original Terrashock in the video that you`re viewing is a Transformer, you`re right. She is not created by Hasbro, or anyone, but the man in the video himself. I believe that this man is a huge fan of Transformers, which is why he has spent so much time creating characters that does not exist in the Transformers world. Translation, this is not a Hasbro figure, but a fan-made figure. So why the name was registered for the show in the first place? I actually suspect that Hasbro has analyzed the video of the fan-made Terrashock and then registered the name for the show. While these are two different character, as you pointed out, both of these figures are bulky, only one is a tactical defense vehicle and the other a garbage truck. Because the RID Terrashock is based on a cow, is the character is also a female just like the original, or is it a male?

Dude, I make Bionicle system based OCs all the time and mine are way more complicated and actually have color schemes. And "spent so much time"? Pfft, sorry man, this OC is pretty simple. And just because a guy makes a transforming toy doesn't make him a Transformers fan. For all you know he just has seen the movies and decided to make a OC that can transform, referring to it as a Transformer only to rake in the views.

Or maybe they both just came up with the name Terrashock because it's cool sounding. Just because a Official Character shares a name with a Original Character doesn't mean it's based on it. Heck, back when I was doing my fanfiction, I had plans for a character named Clampdown to be Lockdown's brother, that doesn't make a connection with this Clampdown. Also, since when did Hasbro get it's ideas from the fandom, omitting the Fan-built bot contests, let alone a video which references Transformers in a vague capacity.

Have you ever looked at a biology book?! Not a cow, not by a long shot. Terrashock is clearly based on a male bison! BIG difference.

Jeff Kline on Transformers: Robots In Disguise Tone and Setting
- Motto: "Till All Are Pun!"
Following up to the first part of the Unicron.com interview with Transformers Prime, Beast Hunters and Robots in Disguise producer Jeff Kline, we have copied below a second part to the same interview, in which he sheds some light on the tone and setting of the Robots in Disguise series. We've even removed the all-caps, below.
Robots in Disguise is definitely a lighter, more comedic take on the Transformers universe. There’s no ancient war being fought, meaning we can actually take the time to set-up a joke, and not feel guilty about it. Bee is front and center. Pptimus’ status is more mysterious than sorrowful. And there’s a younger, more inexperienced (aka less battle-weary) cast of characters.

Just to clarify, by "no ancient war being fought" he means the war is over, not that there never was a war.

I meant in the present day, like how there was one in RID's past but not its present.
Animated definitely had a war in its past, yes.

Though, it's not unusual for movie theaters to advertise TV shows during the ads that play onscreen before the previews begin. If you get to the theater early enough, you might catch oridinary commercials playing onscreen before it becomes time to start the previews.

She just confirmed to me that it was that last Season 1 trailer that came out a few months ago, after I showed it to her. I hoped for, but didn't expect anything new.

Is the liquid that Bisk sprayed from his mouth is water or laser? If Bisk altmode is really a muscle car, why he chooses to live under water? Cars don't go on or in the water. Only boats and submarines could do that! I would really love to see how his altmode turns out once he hits in the Toy Fair 2015.

So far, the characters that turn into car altmodes are Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Jazz, Drift, Bisk, and Clampdown. From what we already know, Clampdown is the smallest car. Is Bisk is the biggest car than any of these Transformers combined?

You still haven't answer my questions, Va'al. Is Bisk's car mode the biggest? Because from what I've seen in the images, it seems that Bisk is much bigger, taller, and much more muscular than Bumblebee, Sideswipe, and Drift.
