For instance: Some of Mine include
-Grimlock(Krookodile):Inner Transformers fan came out plus he can learn Earthquake and Outrage and that screams Grimlock.
-Soundwave(Seismetoad):He kinda reminded of DOTM soundwave.
-Darwin(Dragonite):Caught a Dratini at level 50 something by the Dragon Tower and I used 2 rare candies to evolve him. Kinda a joke on Darwin's theory of how evolution takes centuries to develop and I did it in 2 minutes.

Eh, she's fine as a brunette. Cynthia no longer being blonde, now that would be a tragedy.

So...wow, retrospect is a bitch, huh? I mean, yes, N is in Black 2 and White 2. Then they had to go and do that whole World Tournament thing, so Giovanni really is back. I think Game Freak is reading my posts and using the games to troll me...

Anyone else interested in exchanging Friend Codes for more Safaris? My FC is 0302-0299-7659; be sure to tell me if you add it, as it won't work without us both inputting each other's codes.

If I had to guess, it's one of a few factors:
1. A lot of people skipped buying a 3DS/are waiting for a later time to buy 3DS
2. People were burned out by Black 2/White 2 and weren't quite ready for a new gen
3. People heard about how ludicrously easy EV training is and got out of the game
4. Unappealing starter Pokemon (AND HOW!)
5.Holy crap Pokemon Origin was DOPE. Old gen forever.
Aside from Pokemon and a few other first party Nintendo games I don't really see any reason to own a 3DS so I haven't jumped onto this gen. I like a lot of the new creatures and would be willing to play through another single player campaign, but I'm in no rush to move on to the 6th gen.

Point #2, I skipped B/W2 for this reason. One game per gen is really enough.
Point #3, EV training being easier is a good thing, not a reason for people to jump ship. Building a pokemon that took days, only to find out that it doesn't work on your team and having to rebuild it again sucks. The extra EV training tools are a huge step in the right direction for the game.
Point #4, The starters are some of the best starters out of the last couple generations. Froakie with it's hidden ability turns into the best competitive battling starter ever.
It's funny, your last comment about the few number of reasons to own a 3DS is exactly why I DO own a 3DS. I read somewhere once that a head honcho at Nintendo was quoted as seeing "people don't buy a Nintendo to play 3rd party games. They buy a Nintendo to play Nintendo games." I agree with this. There is enough 3rd party support on the other consoles, which I also enjoy. But sometimes I just need a little pokemon or some Mario Kart in my life to brighten my day.
Incidentally, I have about 190 hours logged on Pokemon Y. About 60 of it was the quest. This gen, I really slowed down and took my time with the quest, to enjoy the new tools that are at our disposal. The other 130 hours has been hatching and raising competitive teams. This seems to be a never ending task for me every gen.

Took a long while to justify a 3DS - especially with DS lites floating around house. My guess is item two from Henry 921 is correct...

I came in runner up at a tournament in Belfast. Pretty happy with my team, they're pretty solid, but I've not changed it up since Gen V. It could do with a little more improvement, I never got around to building a competition team after beating the story in XY, but I don't know the AR/OS Metagame very well.
Would be happy to exchange friend codes if anybody's up for a bit of Smogon Rules 6 on 6 on Black.

I'd play ya, I'm not hyper competitive, but I know everything about the metagame, but, I just make my teams out of fun ideas; I would hope that I would be a challenge for you...

- Greninja, level 71, Bold nature, holding the Amulet Coin
knows Night Slash, Surf, Ice Beam and Dark Pulse.
- Hippowdon, level 69, Naughty nature, holding the Soft Sand
knows Dig, Crunch, Earthquake and Rock Slide.
- Charizard, level 72, Brave nature, holding the Charizardite Y
knows Heat Wave, Fly, Flamethrower and Dragon Claw.
- Espeon, level 72, Calm nature, holding the Expert Belt
knows Psychic, Calm Mind, Dazzling Gleam and Shadow Ball.
- Gogoat, level 72, Hardy nature, holding the Miracle Seed
knows Seed Bomb, Earthquake, Leaf Blade and Horn Leech.
- Aegislash, level 72, Relaxed nature, holding the Metal Coat
knows Shadow Claw, King's Shield, Iron Head and Sacred Sword.
This was the first time I've used an Espeon, I usually go for either Vaporeon or Sylveon if I'm catching an Eevee, and while Espeon is not necessarily as good as those two, it's still a decent Psychic-type and I'll definitely consider using it again. I plan to play through X and Omega Ruby at some point as well (I don't have Alpha Sapphire), but I don't know what teams to use for either just yet.
