I'm sure they had plans in place for a return match which would put Sting over, but then his injury happened.

Really? By the way they finished it, with the handshakes, hugs, and circlejerk between the NWO and DX, it seemed like they planned it to be a one final "WWF vs. WCW" match. And yes, WCW lost, but Sting should have won. The only way Sting should have lost was if he faced Taker. This ending just looked like HHH feeding his own ego. Like he has been for 18 years.Ironhidensh wrote:Burn wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:And the only way a match between HHH and Angle should take place is if Angle wins. If I remember right, Sting actually confirmed this in an interview. It would have been at Survivor Series that year.

While I looked forward to the women's Royal Rumble, I was a little disappointed. I felt they trotted out too many retired (though it was great to see Lita and Molly Holly) and a lot of them spent time having naps outside the ring. The winner was no surprise, and I like that they're keeping her undefeated, I just hope they make Asukas first loss mean something, and not be a reason to put over some new talent.
And The Miz is still champ ... thank ****. Watching that match shows how good of a wrestler he is, or maybe it just highlighted how terrible Reigns is.

lol. Yeah. Great move there, have her show up at the end of the Rumble, take the light off Asuka and the two champs, then don't even bother to turn up at Raw.
Turns up, generates hype, promptly disappears. I guess she had to get back to filming that movie.

Against who though?

Rodimus Prime wrote:I mentioned in my previous post that I was watching all the older WrestleManias, and I had just watched WrestleMania VII. After the career-ending (not really) match between Macho King and Ultimate Warrior, as Savage was leaving with Elizabeth at the end, it dawned on me: every participant in the match has passed away. Everyone, even the announcers. Savage, Elizabeth, Warrior, Sherri, Gorilla Monsoon, and Bobby Heenan. Maybe even the referee. The ending of the match has always been a favorite because of the feels, but it depressed me a bit when I realized that none of them were around any more. And sadly, other than Bobby and Gorilla Monsoon, (and maybe Sherri, I don't remember her cause of death) they would still be here if they had taken better care of themselves.
Unfortunately the only name I can associate with World Class is the Von Erichs. 3 of them died in the 80s, Kerry killed himself in '93 (or '94?) and Fritz died in '97.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Don't ever watch world class, most of those guys were dead before the 90s

WrestleMania has been crap the last few years. The last good one was 31, when Rollins cashed the MitB on Lesnar and Reigns. Ironically, this year is the same main event, but I doubt it will be the same outcome. I think Reigns will win clean over Lesnar, killing whatever interest people still have in the WWE.Burn wrote:Is it just me or is this years Wrestlemania shaping up to be ... crap?
