the head is good but i do like the cybertron soundwave version than the four wheel vehical more it suits his persoanlity to the character but one thing comes to mind if soundwave is in the film no one is sure if soundwave will talk or not bonecrsusher, and brawl did not talk in the film so some of the new characters in the sequel may not talk at all bumblebee almoast didnt talk in the first film until at the end or scorponic

NO NO NO NO NO

for 2 reasons:

1) I much prefer the J. Egerton designs over this one.

2) Long before Transformers Animated came out, I had an idea that Soundwave would be great as an Escalade (rather than the Scion xB- to keep with the GM theme) tricked out with a wall of speakers in the back, on the doors, etc etc. in order to use sonic-based weaponry. Cummon, with Subwoofers in the palms of his hand (see Transtech design), a punch from this guy would be DEVASTATING! Plus as far as civilian vehicles are concerned, Escalades are pretty damn big, so this would be even cooler to see Soundwave go toe to toe with Ironhide AND Ratchet AND a third Autobot :grin:

robot mode: yes
vehicle: no, he needs to be passive and stealthy, not armored. Even a plane is pushing it since its hard to spy from a plane...you only get to flyby once...and an SR71 flyby at however many 1000s of feet would not make too many interesting scenes.

He should be 9ft tall, ravege/laserbeak/rumble approximately 3 feet tall ( but solid, not like that stereo mess we had last time) and turn into something flat that could blend in anywhere. Itd be nice for him to keep dissapearing and reappearing into the environment... he doesnt have to be mobile.

I would love to say yes honestly because it is in truth a great design and as many have said would make an interesting toy, but also like many others here i feel the best part of this design is the head. Soundwave should not be heavily combat oriented nor should he be a ground vehicle. I accept that he will never be a cassette player or boombox of any kind. I would like something similar to his alt mode from Galaxy Force. Maybe a F-117 stealth bomber. But i doubt they would make him blue then, and he needs to be blue even if its a dark blue. As for the cassettes I can live without them honestly, mainly because they'd probably end up getting a frenzy treatment and if i ever see another bot like frenzy i may shoot the designer.

1) Because i love the design, and anyone that's been anywhere near a Transformer knows who this is without a doubt; we can't say that for all the TF's designs from the movie..but..

1)I don't like the vehicle. It leaves no viable explanation for his minions to be apart of.

A good explanation for a spy in the movie would be if he has no set alt mode. I believe TF's can morph their alt modes at will, as Bumblebee did. This would make more sense for an espionage agent like Soundwave.

I'm on the fence here. I like the robot mode, but I'm a bit iffy on the vehicle mode. I think it should be some kind of unmarked recon van, like in all the spy movies. Particularly, I think he's need a way to use Laserbeak and maybe Ravage for recon, but I don't know hoe he'd do that without saying HEY LOOK I'M AN ALIEN ROBOT SHOOT ME.
