If they can make money out of the Actionmaster concept again, ala RED. Then it shouldn't be too difficult to relaunch the Pretenders.
Especially if they take advantage of one potential worldbuilding thread for the Pretenders: alien world and civilizations where, for some reason (probably a low tech level), the typical Transformers disguises won't work. We saw some of that in the G1 Marvel comics with Femax, Pz-Zazz, the Grand Central Space Station and other worlds with giant "human" aliens, but the Decepticons' (and Longtooth's) more monstrous shells are great, untapped alien species design.

Really reminds me that we still need a Botanica figure, and they still don't seem in a hurry to give her one
Probably because it'd be a pain to design her transformation. I'm still not half sure where the kibble should go. But yes, I'd love to have a toy of her.

I second that. Especially if they also launched an RiD Megatron/Galvatron (either a remolded reissue or a new version) to combine the hand mode to.

No worries man; my first post in this topic was also a list and no one raised an eyebrow. And given how many posts there are now, there's boud to be some repetition. Great minds think alike and all that.

I'm imagining something like a normal animal mode and a Transmetal-style psuedo-vehicle mode, rather than a full humanoid transformation. So ground-based lifeforms might have wheels they could deploy for extra speed, flying forms might be able to pop out jets or hoverfans, aquatic forms could have thrusters and supercavitation... basically, either variants on "stealth" and "speed" modes, or "agile" vs "construction" modes, with things like diggers, forklifts, smelters... little raccoon-type forms which disassemble everything they can lay hands on and then engage in crude trade with other life for energy or raw materials (maybe in symbiotic or mutualistic relationships). They might even perform basic maintenance and/or cleaning.
I'd also want to see something with advanced mimicry skills, which can extrude a variety of psuedo-kibble and uses transformation abilities to take on the approximate shapes of other lifeforms. Not something with an altmode scanner, but just something with a lot of physical flexibility, maybe a color-changing surface.
That sounds pretty awesome.
Lemme add another gimmick. Not only those would be beast to vehicles, but how about a duocon gimmick à la Energon to make super beasts? You would also be able to make a huge variety of hybrids.
I'd also be down for that. There's already a few species with transformation capabilites (the singlehorns from
Cyberverse were shown onscreen, and the machadrons are described with tank modes in
BWU); it wouldn't be too out of place to expand to other animals as well.

And I'd definitely support additional gimmicks to represent evolutionary features. I remember the Marvel Scraplets could combine into a humanoid form, and I could easily see animals also using "weaponizer" creatures in a symbiotic relation, subdividing into different components controlled by a hive mind, having a super/battle mode or having multiple modes for different environments, among others.
