TF1: The story is really about a virus corrupting the government's computers and robots looking for glasses on ebay.
ROTF: There are no plot holes. Everyone just over reacts. The movie is well paced and the only problem with it is that it just tries too hard to be funny for little kids.
DOTM: There are a lot of editing mistakes in this movie scattered throughout. It kind of worries me. It also just ignores the first movie completely, while it only hints at ROTF in some parts. Optimus looks pissed at the end like he regrets killing Sentinel while the epic music plays. It makes me think if there's a sequel, Optimus will question the effectiveness of the Auotbots.
The movies overall: That crap about "turn off your brain" is a load of BS. That's why critics and people who hate the movies notice all these "inconsistencies" or get confused. It's because they take that advice and don't think. I think about these movies and read into each and every moment of all three of them and they all make perfect sense.

Ahh, see, you see the movies the same way I do in alot of ways. There are a few missing links (And characters) but all and all, not as bad as people say. anyhow, as far as optimus' regrets, I believe they will show more if there is a sequel. what I don't get is, why didn't he show a single hint of emotion after ironhide died? Weren't they old friends?
If optimus' regrets and sorrows, worries and fears were to personify themselves into a singular form, you'd have a nemesis prime running around, now, wouldn't you?

Here's one for me:
In DOTM, During the scene were Sam is asking Optimus if he had a plan, Optimus didn't let him in on it. They did have a plan, but why not tell him so? I just barely noticed that Sam said "Tell me, and no other HUMAN will ever know!" Then Optimus has a look of realization on his face, and says "There is no plan"
If Sam wouldn't have put that HUMAN part in there, Optimus may have divulged the plan to him...
It's little things like this that often go un-noticed, that are great examples of good writing, but are often overlooked. There are plenty of things you may not notice the first time watching.
In part one when Ironhide aimed his cannon through the windows at Sam's parents, look at Ratchet, exactly what is he doing? These are examples of things I noticed after watching the fims multiple times. Do you have any of these derpy movie moments you'd like to share?
Pontimax 01 wrote:Another scene that didn't hit me at the theaters and only during at home viewing was when Sam is going into NEST headquarters after the copy machine scene, Ironhide and Ratchet are parked there in alt mode. Sam walks by and taps Ironhide on the hood, then Ratchet's emergency lights all flash as Sam walks by, acknowledging Sam's presence. I didn't notice that the first few viewings to be honest. I liked that touch though.
And one I just finally caught over Christmas break from work was during the fight at the end when all the autobots are ganging up on Sentinel, Bee does this wicked attack in towards SP and as SP swings around his direction to counter Bee transforms to car mode, reverses over some debris and kind of flings himself out of reach and then transformers again. That was a sweet use of the transforming concept put into practicality there.

Out of the top of my head, I remember when Megatron was being revived by the Constructicons, they use one of their own to revive Megatron but later on, we see the same bot that was destroyed along the lines with the other Constructicons.
Rattrap273 wrote:The other thing I've noticed was when the vehicles were coming together to combine into Devastator, you can see the drivers in the vehicles. That may not be a goof exactly like how Barricade and Starscream had a holographic driver and pilot, but for this situation, the Contructicons had no reason to be incognito and wouldn't have needed a holographic driver.

In the second, he was scrapped by Optimus and made a pawn of the Fallen. Same problem in the third, but replacing the Fallen with Sentinel Prime. Megatron is nobody's fool, he's the leader! I think if they're going to do a TF:4, I'd like to see Megs back in charge.

Things you notice after watching TF movies multiple times, not right off the bat

Another thing Sentinel Prime has 2 Swords. One duel bladed Sword, and one Buster Blade. He used it on Optimus when he was awakened.
