You were close, though. But the REAL giveaway that someone is from Michigan is if they're drinking Vernor's. Canada Dry is more easily found anywhere along the border, but Vernor's is a MI Original, and according to my cousins in Colorado, not as easily acquired.

If you read how a live sea cucumber defends itself in the wild.......don't ask. Very disgusting but it is quite delicious.

Right up there with abalone and shark's fin--good because you can afford it, and expensive because it's hard to get. It's actually quite tasty if you don't mind the gelatinous texture. But really, it's the sauce that makes the dish.
