Keep in mind this isn't G1 reinvented, this is a whole different universe that's bringing Transformers into the real world. And if you don't like the movies, DONT **** WATCH THEM. There, your damn problem is **** solved.
And another thing about all the BB haters, HASBRO is a child-oriented company. Yes, a large number of consumers are adult collectors, but the bulk of the money from Transformers comes from parents buying Bumblebee figures. So it would only make sense to produce more Bumblebee figures. More to make=more to sell, more to sell=more to buy, more to buy= more money to make. Get it now?
And for everybody saying that Hound will be screwed up(I don't think that's on this forum though), he's being REIMAGINED, just like Optimus or Bumblebee or Ironhide or Ultra Magnus or Ratchet or Arcee is in every single incarnation that they're in. Hound is no different, and I personally can't wait to see what he will look like. So please, everyone, just get a grip.
I honestly find more hostility in the comments from bay TF supporters than haters, especially since the ones who don't like the movies, insult the movies. The ones who defend the movies, insult Transformers fans (there are exceptions, but just speaking generally).
I'll simplify this. Everyone has an opinion, there's really no point in telling people to "get a grip" coz forum posters will never change, and someone will always complain about how much the movies suck. Secondly, The distaste isn't at the fact that its being re-imagined, it's the question of
how much is it being reimagined, which is too much for some because it seems much too different. Beast Wars probably had the same problems coz of how radically different it was to G1. People = different opinions, forums = people, forums = different opinions. Btw, having extra stock is never a good thing, as it costs money to keep it on the shelf, opposed to having products that sell well. Shelf-warming BBs are a sign of bad business, period. Hasbro probably makes millions upon millions anyway so that it really doesn't matter, but shelf-warming is always bad, and there's no question about that.
Solutions of how to fix that? Well, more variety, as it was said. I just picked up legends Hardshell, and I was thinking to myself... There's a deluxe bulkhead... thats shelf warming. It could be a deluxe hardshell instead of getting another version of bulkhead that was already done awesomely depending on which of the 2 voyagers you prefer.
