Ok, got it.
Oh and as for the Bayverse movie "message", it's easy: BUY STUFF!

Indeed, I'm not so sure about that too. Because just by existing, the Transformers defy laws of physics.
So, better not thinking about anything logical because we'll be here for a while. Like for example, how microorganisms are conveniently ignored in 99% of SF/fantasy stories, unless they are the main focus.

I like how the Stargate series did it. Every time they encountered a vastly superior alien intelligence. They worded our scientific understanding of the universe as "young". Essentially, a less patronising pat on the head.

I thought it was very much the opposite; the laws of physics are usually the very first casualty in scifi movies. The Transformer movies in particular have been pretty consistent with disregarding basic physics whenever doing so might look cool.
"The notion that most TF fans are unfit and slow is a common misconception. Watch when a new figure is revealed that isn't based on a G1 design, and you'll see a sizeable detachment of them sprinting to their keyboards to type "easy pass" so quickly it'll make your head spin."

Just your basic action movie is a cheater with guns and explosions alone. The Mythbusters had fun tackling every single one of those cheats over their seasons.

Hasbro/Paramount are ramping things up with there being only 1 month left before the release of Rise of the Beasts. We finally have a clip showing all the main heroes (except for Airazor) meeting up for the first time. This gives us a good look at the finished CGI, the bots in motion, and how Arcee and Wheeljack talk. We do get a sense of what Wheeljack will look like for the majority of the film, which is without the "ears", and he does have to rearrange his glasses when being hit, as fans feared.
We also had another clip from a boxing match promotional crossover where we had half a second more of the previous trailer's footage giving us a good look at the exosuit. It is distinctly Mirage themed, lending credence to the test screenings we previously reported on where that exosuit is also Mirage's essence.
It's nice to see how much they've cleaned up the CGI in this scene from the teaser trailer. I'm also getting the feeling Mirage is kind of an idiot or maybe a Hot Shot (Armada) type character.
DId Wheeljack seriously go Alfa-5 on us in this spot?
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
The exosuit is a reference to something. Even the pose in that shot looks familiar. I thought at first it was G1 Jazz's pretender shell, but I think instead it must be a powermaster partner I'm thinking of???

Looks very reminiscent of Kicker

So this clip pretty much confirms that both Mirage and Wheeljack, in contrast to both DOTM Dino and DOTM Que/BB Wheeljack, are youngsters.
Admittedly, there's still some wiggle-room with Mirage/Dino since the younger is at least still chronologically before the senior, But Wheeljack goes from a man to a boy to an old man in this chronology.

I never thought those were implied to be the same characters

It's the white glass-front helmet and red chest vents that stand out to me specifically. I'm 90% certain it's something either from old packaging art or Marvel G1/G2.

Where were you during the months of discourse over this guy:

I realize it's only one line, but I'm glad that Liza Koshy's take on Arcee seems to be decent. I was a tad worried when they announced her as Arcee, given my image of her as a YouTuber/"influencer", but I'll be glad to be wrong.

Talking more about the Que thing, I don't think those characters are related chronologically. Same for Mirage and Dino.

Here is some fun news, trailers all follow a similar formula and run time so during a projection glitch at a showing of the Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3, both the trailers for The Little Mermaid and Transformers Rise of the Beasts played at the same time. It made for the ultimate film, as you can see in this clip posted on Twitter.
That is awesome! Maybe the best improvement they can make to the horrific remake of the Little Mermaid ( like all of Disney's live action remakes of animated classics). I might pay to see both of them overlapping for the full length...

Much like Hasbro*, I'd love to see Disney return to animation. Coming from an Arty-Farty/creative background. I've always looked at Live Action Disney** with disdain.
*There are plenty of stories out there for Hasbro to make into animated movies. Maybe even abandoned projects like Animated Season 4 or Transtech could continue through such an outlet.
**The only Live Action exception I make. While not technically 100% Disney, is Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The very best kids movie ever made!
Meanwhile, back on topic. Myself and three friends went to see the BB movie upon release. We've booked a repeat outing for ROTB.
