Terrorcon

But why? Why "Terrorcon" and and not "Predacon" ? :???:

Because predcons are known as evil beasts and they arent the villains in this film. Instead, the villains are a group of 3 bots that used to be from different factions and came together to make their own called the Terrorcons. Their leader is Scourge.

Do I sense fanfic head cannon guessing here? Well, mine was that the terrorcon's relation to beasts is their robot mode, their designs will be animalistic, the original scourge had dragon wings and claws.

There's no fanfiction there, it was what was said a while ago. Don't forget there's a more well known Scourge from the Robots in Disguise 2001 cartoon ;) oh and the G1 con I guess

You know, I like this design. One of my biggest gripes with the movie robots (well, at least the first trilogy) was how exposed everything was; it really made you wonder how their war kept going for so long with so many inner parts exposed. This one mixes the right amount of detail with believable armor for an alien robot warrior.

And it isn't exaggeratedly anthropomorphic like the last two Bayverse movies' Autobots, which felt more like humans made of metal (seriously, a robot with a trenchcoat as part of his body? And another modeled like a samurai?).

He looks pretty cool.

The wheels on the legs are more exposed than before, I wonder if this was made with the toys in mind, so they are easier to design. :-?

Meanwhile the kids they're marketing to are saying, "MORE BUMBLEBEE, I LOVE HIM!!!!" and we get an entire line of exclusives featuring the guy at Target. You may not like him, and that's your right, but he's wildly more popular and lucrative than G1 Bee will ever be.

There's a reason why Hasbro tried to upgrade/update G1 Bee into this:

And why most modern versions of Bee for the various TV series look more like Camaros than Beetles since 2007.

Well, there's that tiny WW shenanigans that prevent further beetles.
But yeah, the specific Camaro is a direct result of the 2007 movie.

And honestly, the Bay-Bee haters sound like old men yelling at clouds. It's been 15 years already. That Bee is now the nostalgic Bee for a whole new generation of adults.
If I find some more Geewhiner crying like a baby about Bay-Bee, I'll call for the nurse so that they get wheeled back into the nursing home.

The Predacons aren’t going to be a thing in this movie, guaranteed. But hopefully there’s some kind of tease for them showing up in the next film.

M'eh. The more they reveal about this coming movie, the less interested I feel. Particularly with 'pre-quels', no matter what the franchise might be.

Whether it's Kenobi's antics on Tatooine before A New Hope, or the tale of Chewbacca's crossbow, or the life story of Leia's hair stylist, or what Bumblebee did on Earth before he met Sam, I have no interest in stories that took place beforehand - because we already know from the original movies how it all ends.

I don't see how that detracts at all from wanting to know the why or how, if anything it helps give insight to what made these characters turn into the ones we would later see in the Bay directed films. Ignoring the inconsistencies within them, that is, and ignoring if this will end up becoming a reboot anyway.
Of course, I totally understand your opinion of wanting to keep getting newer stories, even if The Last Knight practically tied everything up.

I’m fairly certain the story here should be that they gave us a first look at Optimus primal I. Literally that same image. I struggle to understand how this is a reveal when 4 articles earlier the headline is “First look at Bumblebee from Rise of the Beasts”.

I like the new look! It's better than Bayformers look for sure.
I never liked the Skull with Pacifier look, dafuq?

I agree with a comment before, the rude pussing on people and cursing Bumblebee. I don't like him, but seeing how kids nowadays do like it according to another comment also goes to show how that culture turned.
It's crass, obnoxious, selfish, childish and 100% cool and way better than G1. ... (everything modern is better than the older days, remember kids)

Not saying the G1 dude needed some spice if he's to be the main character. He was more of the little brother who tried to be part of the team and do his best (failing a lot of the times I remember).

I hope this movie comes out before I die of old age. Same as that Flash movie, Aquadude 2, everthing is being set back to hell.

Now all I want is a Bumblebee movie looking Rumble and I'm good.
... And a Studio Series Shockwave Voyager sized would be cool.

I appreciate that they sort of mixed the 2007 design and the Bee movie design. He looks better here than he did at the end of Bumblebee since they adjusted him to add some more squareness to him. Given his alt mode, this version should now not be as round.

I like it. I'm excited to see more of his offroad form in action
