That went away quickly.
This toy is not good. As soon as I tried to make the missiles work, he started feeling bad to me. his 2 back mounted ones are incapable of holding his missiles, and they will not stay in his storage space in the center of the back either. The joints are very shaky and loose, and the plastic quality is not there, it doesn't feel good at all. His beast mode head transformation is also not really good, it gets stuck and the face pops off the ears. He feels lacking in color in several spots, mostly the chest and weapons, and a lot of his gimmicks are on a hair trigger. The arm gimmick also doesn't appear to help, I don't like the effort i need to put in to get both arms to do what I want.
Overall, yeah, it ain't good. How much of that is the reissue and how much is the OG mold I can't say, since this is the first time I've handled it. But I will say that while I will keep him, I am ONLY keeping him because he was $14. They missed the mark here. Makes me wonder if i should actually try to get the reissue scorponok, I want him, but if this is the quality I should expect, no thank you

Munkky wrote:Of all the old Beast Wars toys to reissue, Cybershark seems like an odd choice. My best guess as to why is that maybe Hasbro are making a new Cybershark toy in the near future (or a new Sky-Byte with the intention to repaint it into Transmetal 2 Cybershark), and this reissue ensures that the "Maximal Cybershark" trademark is freshly minted and ready to use for a new toy. This probably isn't the case, but it kind of makes sense to me.
