Only if you want her to be. The club's bio states that Nacelle's a he, but those are clearly lies and slander against Counterpunch's awesome bio for those of us who wanted Nacelle to be a she.

I have to say it: Nacelle's kind of a feminine-sounding name.

You can blame using French (with its many feminine nouns) for aviation terms for that, in this case it's derived from "la nacelle" which means "small boat".

Re: Transformers Collectors' Club Exclusives and Subscription Figures
Nacelle was one of the figures I subscribed for. I'm glad to have him. Although the misassembly is disappointing, it doesn't hinder the figure overall, I just feel like I have to be extra careful with the wings.
But ... is anyone else still waiting on Nova Prime (maybe anyone in Canada)? I've gotten no response after e-mailing the club about it.

Okay, so I have never signed up for the Collectors Club, but am seriously considering it. I have some basic questions, my apologies if these have already been covered elsewhere, any help or guidance is appreciated.
- So members receive a free figure if they sign up by a certain date, is there a specific window to sign up to receive the free figure?
- When it comes to the subscription service, do you have to order all the figures in the service, or can I pick and choose? Needlenose and Windsweeper look cool, but less interested in Bludgeon.

Hey, no worries. Questions are good, and I'm sure others will benefit and/or are curious.
You sign up in the fall (if I recall correctly); Seibertron will definitely news it when registration for TFSS is open, and provide warnings at the 1 week/day left marks.
Yes, you have to sign up for all the figures. You can't pick and choose. They have payment plans for those who don't want to pay one lump sum.

Excellent, thanks for the Info! I'll keep my eyes open for the announcements this fall!

Additionally, signing up for the Club itself and signing up for the Subscription Service are two separate payments. Signing up for the Club gets you the free figure, which must be done before the March 16th of the year that each free figure is released. For instance, to get this year's Lio Convoy figure, you had to have signed up before March 16, 2015, but to get next year's Ramjet figure, you have to sign up before March 16, 2016.
As for the Subscription Service, you have two payment options. Either pay the full installment of all six figures (plus the mystery 7th figure) at the beginning (which is usually in late Summer/early Fall), or pay three installments throughout the year per every two figures' releases (the 7th figure is a free bonus, but only available to those who subscribe), with the first installing being the same time as the full installment (the Club will send out emails throughout the year letting people know when the second and third installments will be due). As the Club likes to surprise its members, there is no telling what order each figure will be released in, so if your just wanting Windsweeper and Needlenose, then you're better off getting all of them and selling off the ones you don't want since the figures' identities are only publicly made known when the figures arrive at each person's homes and said person posts about the figure's identity online.

Got my Nacelle yesterday. Sadly one of the wings pops off real easy, but everything seems to be assembled right. I guess I got pretty lucky.

Got my Nacelle. One of the Decepticons sigil tampos is smudged, but I've covered them all with the Holo glow Reprolabels so it doesn't bother me too much, just kind of annoyed considering the cost...

Thanks again for the info, all the help is appreciated. One more question popped up as I was looking to sign up:
Other than about $23.00, what is the difference between 1st class membership and 3rd class membership? Is it just how the figures are mailed? And can anyone comment as to whether or not that difference is worth the extra price tag?

I think it refers to how fast you want to receive your items in the mail. Like, first class shipping has a higher degree of priority than third class shipping, so you pay more for the mail to come sooner.jogunwarrior wrote:Other than about $23.00, what is the difference between 1st class membership and 3rd class membership? As for whether it's worth it, that all depends on how much your desire your stuff to come sooner than later. I personally just stick to third class since I can wait. Though I do admit to feeling a bit antsy when all those with first class shipping get their stuff earlier and start talking about it all before my stuff arrives.

Cost difference is just the postage difference. USPS themselves uses the term "Standard Mail" now rather than "3rd Class", but it's the same thing. Standard mail is a lot less expensive than first class when dealing with a mini-magazine, hence the lower cost.jogunwarrior wrote:Other than about $23.00, what is the difference between 1st class membership and 3rd class membership? Practical differences:
- 1st Class Mail is always processed before Standard Mail, regardless of when the PO actually receives it. The Standard Mail is processed on a "time available" basis.
- This yields a delivery time of roughly 2-4 days for 1st Class stuff, vs. 1-4 weeks (possibly longer) for Standard Mail.
- Standard Mail is not forward-able and doesn't get returned to the sender. If you move mid-year and forget to update your address with the Club, but forward through the PO, you still won't get Club Magazines. Post Office will find them un-deliverable and toss 'em out.

Just wanted to put it out there that the Club was great about fixing my broken Nacelle figure.
They are doing part replacement now too, so you don't have to ship a whole figure back if just a portion is damaged and can be removed. That's quite helpful and a welcome change!

I've never had an issue getting a replacement. The Club definitely does that well, in my experience.
Protoform X arrived with a horn snapped off its head. Taken care of.
Chromedome's micron arrived with a warped leg. Taken care of.
I'm glad your issue was quickly resolved, too.

Re: Transformers Collectors' Club Exclusives and Subscription Figures
It all depends what is "correct" to you. "Correct" as in matching the toy that inspired the deco or "correct" in how the deco was intended to be applied.
Obviously there were tweaks made to Nacelle's deco elsewhere (like the entire robot mode) so that he was different enough from other Seekers (namely Thundercracker). The swoosh was another intentional tweak - albeit a much simpler one. To give him a little more difference from Thrust's wing stripes, the ones of the tail fins were flipped.
Of course then the misassembly flipped them back.

When should people be expecting for fourth figure of 3.0? The payment date for the third installment is looming (the 17th), unless that's going to be delayed.

The third figure started showing up around the first of this month. So the fourth would more than likely do the same next month.
